Marvelous views and sunsets from the terrace!

Great location, comfortable and in keeping with colours of the town!

The owner was super friendly and helped us out almost immediately with what we needed. Great view of the sunset over the ocean and indoors very pretty keeping with the colorful style of the village.

The room is less spacious than appears in the pictures, and it’s good to keep in mind that the location is quite high up on the hill so requires a walk.

Best place to stay out of the 5 towns. Perfect, clean little place

The location was beautiful, room was clean and the view was stunning. Netflix on the tv and aircon was fantastic. Be mindful it is up the top of the town but do not let that steer you away from the beautiful place.

Also, don't be fooled - the first few pictures featuring a balcony with a really nice view is only one of a few apartments. Only that one is really nice, the others are only basic.

Wonderful owner

Owner was amazing, attentive and always available. She stopped by to greet us, and also provided waters, coffee, and a couple other things which were a nice addition. Check in was easy and the location is great. It's definitely a uphill walk with stairs, but I managed it with a large suitcase being rather fit.

View from the room 1 toilet window is nice. Owner allowed us to leave our luggage after checkd out. Fast response.

Spend a bit more and stay somewhere else!

We arrived at 2.30pm when check in was 2.00pm, and had to sit outside and call the phone number. We were told that the room was not ready and we could not go inside. A young couple with a dog turned up half an hour later and went inside, with the man returning later to say he had prepared our room. He clearly had done a very quick clean of the room after the previous guests. The bathroom was still wet when we went inside. The bathroom was NOT clean and the shower was filthy with thick slime and grime around the door. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything the neighbours did. This was sold as an ocean view however a view is only possible if you put your head out the window. The bed was unstable and when one person rolled over, it woke the other up. The location is not very good and it is a long walk up a very steep street.

Exceptional

The location was fantastic, though I cannot imagine any place in Manarola that would not be fantastically located. The place was quiet and clean, the views were nice, mainly towards the mountain, but we could also see a little bit of ocean, and the town is absolutely charming.

Strange request as I first called the host while we were walking up the stair alley to the place to ask for instructions to get in (he was not at the property). He asked me to call him when I am at the door, which I thought meant there was some complicated way to get in. So I called again 5 minutes later, only for him to tell me the code to the pin pad on the front door. Why he could not give me that code the first time I called I'll never know. It's not cheap to keep calling through roaming in a different country, and that was really unnecessary. Otherwise all was well.

Poor communication, no ac and internet only worked half the time but amazing views if hou book the right room!

We had an amazing view from the balconies (both sides). That was definitely the highlight!!

No air conditioner. Only the fan option works, if you turn the setting to ac it shuts off regardless of other settings. We contacted the property directly and via booking but received only a rude answer that it’s controlled with the remote. It’s broken or they’ve intentionally turned it off. Other reviews say the same. Communication on arrival is also poor. If hou dont have a working phone or internet it would be difficult. Instead of just sending checkin instructions and the code you have to call for it. Mold in shower and bathroom. Someone else’s garbage was under the sink. The bath wasn’t mopped. If it wasn’t for the amazing balcony view i would give a lower rating. They also got a topper for the bed so that was a plus but it was too hot to sleep.

Really worth it even just for the brilliant view

-excelent view, big terrace -friendly staff -clean sheets, clean towels -pet friendly and no extra fee

-terrace door / windows does not close well -weird smell -the floor wasn’t that clean even if they just mopped when we arrived -sticky everything in the kitchen -steep steps (small, narrow) big minus when you have baggage -there’s no parking, and you have to leave your car at aprox. 1 km (not free)

If you book a small room don't count on the seaview mentioned in the description. The room overlooks the terraces, which is great, but the sea is not in the view. It is also totally not 'soundproof'. You can hear even the quiet conversations from the neighbouring rooms. And the mattress was a nightmare :(

The guest house is located in the upper part of Manarola. It was a bit tough to walk from the train station if carrying large luggage.

The location was great. There is a little hike up town, but it is so worth it for the amazing view of the water and sunrise/sunset right off our private terrace. There was also a second smaller terrace overlooking the little street, complete with clothesline. We were also very close to a great restaurant. The little kitchen had everything we needed and the room felt spacious. We so enjoyed our time there!

The bed was really the only down side. It was very uncomfortable. It sagged badly and I could feel the springs. One small item for improvement would also be that they have an iron or steamer available upon request.

Superb

Very spacious studio apartment at the top of town, up the hill. Incredible ocean views from the balcony, and windows overlooking the vineyard terraces on the hill opposite. Clean, kitchen and bathroom stocked with just a few essentials. Luckily ran into another guest on arrival who helped us check in, otherwise this would have been difficult as instructions were not provided in advance. The owner was very helpful in accommodating with a late checkout.
