Kaniya bali

It was down at the end of a side road, so quite secluded and very quiet. No noise from the roads which was lovely. The pool and sun beds were relaxing and the staff were friendly.

There should be mosquito nets around the bed as the room was smothered in them, we needed to spray the multiple times a day and night. The TV does not work, which wasn’t a big deal but would be nice when you are relaxing. The overall staff don’t understand English except 1, so there was a lot of use on the translating apps when were in need of anything. The company is advertised as Kaniya Bed & Breakfast however there was no breakfast at all, no seating, no restaurant. It was very confusing.

I love that it was women led and a small place to stay.. so only people who enjoy that kind of space would come. I appreciated the host for having all my details ready upon check in. It was wonderful to experience that considering it was my first travel to Bali. I woke up to a garden view and that was so amazing and heard some women do yoga...also had a baby playing in the pool .family vibes are always welcome 🤗 🤗 🤗 I also love the offering if the breakfast in the cafe in front...chef's room..great place and even better breakfast.. I also loved that there was a lovely spa outside..it felt like real community vibes.

I didn't like the occasional late nice traffic noise of lots of vehicles post 11 in my room..it was in the starting. I felt bad that there was no guy to help with the luggage, it was heavy and the girls were doing the weight lifting..and sometimes the reception was empty so if I immediately didn't get assistance and had to wait...kinda a Bali thing I hope...just patience..

Kaniya is not 5 star in that it has everything that opens and shuts, but it is 10 Star for a quiet, lush, relaxing holiday. Bed is very comfortable and clean. Shower is hot. Room is clean. Pool is sparkling. Spa on site was sublime. Restaurants on site, and close by, were delicious. Location is away from heavy tourist areas, but easy access by foot, taxi or scooter to everything. Airport about half an hour away max. And of course, the staff were gentle and friendly. Perfect holiday if you don't want endless activity and action in your face. A quiet home away from home.

My only request would be to have access to filtered water, not in a plastic bottle, so I could fill my own bottle. I would love to see this as standard across Bali to reduce the extreme waste problem.

What a beautiful gem. I can not fault anything even if I wanted to. Ron and his staff are lovely, kind people who take pride in their work and the villas. I have already booked again for September and I usually like to try different places so this is a first for me ! Thank you Kaniya for being my home for the last few days.
