Great location close to beach + old town

Very nice location literally accross the street from the beach, and at few minutes' walk from the old town of Marbella, that is adorable. Bus stops are very close, either for moving inside the town, and for going to the bus station or other towns nearby. The hotel actually looks and feels like an old town house, the room was nice, clean and had functional AC and a mini-bar (important in Marbella in August). Reception is open 24/07, which is important for me when travelling alone, especially for concerts, as I know I will come back very late (and bus schedules in Marbella are quite approximate...). Quite value for money considering the location, the season and the events happening in those days (Starlite Festival and others).

There could be some improvement here and there, but overall the experience was very nice for a 3-night stay.

The location was excellent – close to both the beach and the old town. The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean with fresh white sheets. It also had a small balcony and a wardrobe that was a decent size.

The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom – it was small and a bit old, with a tiny shower head and a bathtub. However, considering the value for money, it was still good and acceptable. Most importantly, the staff cleaned the bathroom every morning.

A comfortable stay in Marbella.

A basic room in the heart of town. Old town and beach close bye. Helpful staff, comfortable room, hot shower. Plenty buses around and access to cruises. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Many historical buildings in the area.. Good value for money.

Nothing. Bus station a bit of a distance. Down hill on the way in and uphill on the return, but OK once you work out the local bus service.

Amazing place, Miguel is a fantastic member of staff.

It's very clean, plenty of towels, shampoo etc. Air con is great and the little fridge is a great additional extra when the weather is warm. Miguel who works overnight is so polite and helpful. The bedside light which we initially thought needed a new bulb, turned out to be broken, he went out of his way to get me a new bedside light very quickly...very impressed.

Everything was perfect. The cleanliness, service etc I would expect from a hotel that would charge much more...This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Estrella! The location is perfect- 5 minutes from the beach or the old town and so convenient for getting groceries or busses. The staff was so friendly and helpful, it was lovely to chat with them when entering and exiting the hotel. My partner and I got covid just a few days before our trip and asked if we could delay our stay, they answered immediately and rearranged our stay for no extra cost which was so kind and generous! The room was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The AC was also amazing during the hot days. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more 😊

The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the old town of Marbella. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and instead of making us wait for our room to be prepared, they immediately offered us another available one. It was very clean and has everything we needed for our short stay.

Unfortunately the room was in the first floor, next to the reception and there wasn't a window. But we spent there only one night, so it wasn't a real problem.

Staff were super friendly and the price was good.

Can get noisy at night. They can't do much about this, it is just the location with rooms so close to the street level. For the price it is worth it, but bring earplugs if you want a quiet sleep.

The room was so small that we barely could move in it. One window has to be covered as some half naked people from different rooms where just behind them. Moreover, the door to the shower were broken and it was impossible to close them
