About this house rental
Due to prolonged drought, we have been instructed by the Department to stop taking water for the swimming pools, among others. Unfortunately, we must therefore close them as of today!!! Our rental prices have been adjusted accordingly.
This romantic historic house, Romantic-Louveteaux-en-Provence ****, frequented by Jean Renoir, is located in the heart of the wild-nature reserve "La Lauve".
In 2013 and 2014 the ZOOVER AWARD 2013 and 2014 "Highly Recommended" were won and in 2013 the FOUR STARS qualification was awarded:
- A beautiful view, a large terrace and a separate bread oven;
- A "master" double bedroom with panoramic view, private bathroom;
- Two 2-person apartments, private bathrooms and toilet;
- A 2x single bedroom;
- Living and dining room with fireplace, fully equipped functional kitchen, internet & television;
The house has a beautiful view, a large terrace, and a heated private swimming pool in the middle of the mountains.
Located just 68 kilometers from Nice airport in the beautiful hilly countryside close to the picturesque village of Entreveaux, one of the best examples of Vauban architecture.
It is a real place for lovers of country life, hiking and unspoiled nature - and the beach, the busy Côte d'Azur, the (ski slopes of the) Alps and the National Park "Mercantour" are a short distance away.

Landschaftlich toll, Stille, Terrasse/Pool toll (wenn man es mit Sonne geniessen kann), Hausverwalter sehr nett/hilfsbereit. Sehr abgelegen (sehr gut zum Erholen, ungünstig, wenn man viel einkaufen möchte/muss), Sauberkeit sicher verbesserungsfähig, Einrichtungs-standards auch eher mager, obwohl eigentlich alles da ist.

Cet endroit nous a ravi, la maison est bien concu avec 3 chambres bien séparées, ayant chacune leur intimité et leur salle de bain. Cuisine équipée suffisamment. Piscine parfaite dans une forêt splendide. Franck, l'hôte, nous a reçu avec simplicité et efficace, il est très sympathique. Très jolies ballades à faire aux proches alentours, villages perchés et cluses de rivières (avec piscines naturelles) très proches. Très belle expérience et parfaites vacances.

We were looking for a cozy secluded area surrounded by nature, and we found just that in Romantic-Louveteaux-en-Provence.
The house and facilities are comfortable and convenient, allowing us to make the most of our time here. Frank was very kind and helpful, answering our questions patiently and graciously fulfilling our requests.
The patio equipped with a barbecue grill overlooking the pool is lovely. Although the pool is heated, in May it hovers around 20°C which is a little chilly for some, but manageable on a warm sunny day.
The kitchen is adequate for preparing meals, with four stoves, an oven, pots and pans as well as appliances including a blender, coffee maker, and microwave.
The fireplace keeps the living room warm and cozy. For rooms without a fireplace, there are heaters which were life savers during the chilly May nights.
In terms of cleanliness, everything was to our liking.
The sleeping arrangements are also great, with separate sleeping spaces and enough bathrooms with hot water for our group of 8: 4 bedrooms, 4 toilets, 3 showers.
We recommend and would love to return someday!
