Ca’ Braga Biennale

The location is fab - get the water bus to Giardini (Line 1 is a very scenic route), not Arsenale - as this is a longer walk with more bridges to cross. Giardini is quieter and just a short walk through the local houses. This apartment is in a fab location. Within a 5-10 min walk (past gorgeous Venice scenery) to the main tourist attractions, where is gets really busy. This is just outside the craziness, with the most beautiful sights of local life, but a street away from bars, restaurants and a big supermarket. The apartment itself was wonderful. It had everything we needed and was very spacious. The kitchen was full equipped, which was exactly what we needed; the air con was incredible - as it was 38 degrees outside! and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was great, we found the apartment easily and there is a lock box outside. It is on the first floor and no lift, but it really is worth walking the luggage up. We caught the water bus to the Lido island - which is so different! It has loads of green trees, a more summer holiday vibe and an amazingly long beach! Walk past the Blue Lagoon beach (it costs to go there) and you'll find the 'free beach ', which is just as lovely. We loved walking away in the evening from all the crowds and finding little gems of ice cream shops, restaurants and views that no one else would be seeing. TIP - at sunset, go to the Giardini stop and walk up a bit; you will see an incredible sunset behind the Venice skyline!

Very convenient apartment in the Castello area especially for Art Biennale. Close to nice restaurants and Via Garabaldi. Quiet and near Vaporetto stops

Location

This is a perfect house for a family visit. Castello is quiet and residential area with a huge park and a playground walking distance, perfectly served with vaporettos to go anywhere you want. Giulia is a nice and welcoming host, the house is clean and equipped with everything necessary. Great occasion to imagine how a life of a Venetian family is. Thank you!
