super nice place to stay in Bologna city centre

great location of the apartment design of mezzanine efficient and comfortable setup of apartment despite limitations of old tenement house contact with host

relatively low temperature on ground floor in autumn.......what could be benefit in summer :) air conditioner installed too high on the wall, as it was blowing straight on the mezzanine not impacting temperature on ground floor

Apartment is well decorated, maintained and has all the amenities you need for a stay. Only thing missing is a washing machine, but that's a small thing. Everything provided to make for a lovely stay. Quiet. Close to the centre. Easy reach of the station and a wonderful restaurant opposite. Super host. Great communications. Highly recommended. Good value.

We enjoyed the location and cleanness of it. It had everything we needed.

Beautiful Bologna base

This was a lovely apartment and the perfect base to explore Bologna. I really liked the stylish fittings and little touches and we were within walking distance of everything.

Great appartment, Bologna is a relaxed city and had great food experience.

Fantastic location and a stylish, modern apartment. We really appreciated all the excellent local recommendations, especially the hidden gem restaurants away from the tourist crowds. Communication was smooth and helpful throughout. We only wish we had stayed longer in Bologna — it was a much better experience than Milan or Venice.

We had a wonderful stay at San Carlo Holiday House! The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after exploring Bologna. It was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were absolutely fantastic – incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available for any questions or assistance. Communication with them was seamless, and they made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The location is great, with easy access to the city’s main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna! Would definitely stay here again! 😊

Great stay in Bologna

Very smooth checki-in and check-out. Communication with the host was excellent. Great access to everything we wanted to see in Bologna. We took a taxi from the airport, which also went very smoothly.. Place was very clean and comfortable. It was also nice and cool, which was a great break from the hot weather.

Bathroom was a bit small.

Amazing stay!

So many spaces to sleep, 3 different queens size beds perfect for my sister, her 2 kids and I. Host was amazing, accommodated us last minute and scheduled a taxi for us to the airport.

Short trip to Bologna for work but we get like we had a ‘holiday’ home

Lovely building in an absolutely fantastic location for our needs. Stephano (we didn’t meet in person) was incredibly helpful and full of great advice on the area; from bus instructions to get to the Bologna Fiere to restaurant recommendations.

Great location. Everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. 10 mins to Station, 10 mins to centre. Nice quiet area. Lovely old building. Lots of info in house from owners and they had great communication throughout our stay.

Exceptional

Very good location in the middle between the train station and the city centre, so it is close to both, very quiet. We had our original reservation for another place cancelled at the last moment, so really happy San Carlo Holiday House was able to accommodate us on such short notice.

Not ideal for a couple if there are other people as there is not enough privacy, one of the bedrooms is like an open second floor.

Stefano was very kind and accommodating, waiting up late to let us in as our flight was delayed! The apartment is very sweet and clean with everything you need for a stay in Bologna, and is very central, easy to get to Piazza Maggiore etc

Very nice air conditioned appartement with 2 real bedrooms. A TV in each roomThe host has given us all necessary information. This was a last minute booking but he made himself available, very pleasant.

Modern apartment in old house with appealing design, well equipped with typical amenities. Very central location, within walking distance to all places of interest.

What you can't deduce from description is that the apartment is located at ground floor, with all windows facing dark internal courtyard, giving you catacomb-like feeling. It's also very acoustic - so you hear other people walking, talking, closing doors etc. Unfortunately there's no air conditioning allowing you to cut yourself off from external noises. Due to central location parking is also very tricky - you better read carefully the instructions sent you by owners to avoid getting a fine.

Nice flat for 2 couples, very nicely decorated and good location, in the city center, close to restaurants and main piazza. Good value for money. The host was very nice too.

A bit dark if I had to spend a whole week there, but this is really nothing.

Tiptope Unterkunft für unseren viertägigen Aufenthalt im Herzen Bolognas

Die Unterkunft ist schön und liebevoll ausgestattet mit allem, was ein Städtetrip braucht. Stimmungsvolle kleine Innenhofwohnung, richtig italienisch! Sehr sauber und Stefano war bei Fragen sehr schnell und bemüht um Antworten. Hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Lage perfekt zwischen Bahnhof und Piazza Maggiore, sodass mit Bus oder zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Leckere Osterie, Trattorie in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet. Aufgrund der engen Verhältnisse für Frühstück ok, zum kochen und essen wäre ws etwas unpraktisch.

Einfache Kommunikation beim Einchecken per WhatsApp; liebevoll eingerichtetes Apartment mit einigen Vorschlägen zur Erkundung Bolognas; sehr gute Lage in Bahnhofs- und Innenstadtnähe.

Bereiche zum gemeinsamen Verweilen fehlen etwas in der Wohnung; Bad hat keine Lüftung (außer einem kleinen Fenster), was zu einem etwas unangenehmen Geruch geführt hat.

Ktokoľvek sem bude chcieť ísť, budem odporúčať len tento apartmán.

Ubytovanie je krásne, čisté, moderne. Postele pohodlné. Lokalita je tiež úžasná, 10 minút od vlakovej stanice, 15 minút od centra námestia. Apartmán bol pripravený skoro, dostali sme kód, čo bolo super. V chladničke bola voda, pár croassantov, čo bolo tiež fajn. Maličkosti, ale potešili.
