The cottage was much bigger than I expected. Very clean with everything you need and more!
Sheila is a great host, very welcoming, even baking scones with clotted cream and jam for our arrival.
Unfortunately, there is noise from the pub opposite. Not a lot that Sheila can do about that. The road is narrow so the pub is fairly close to the cottage. It didn't bother us too much to be fair, but if you have younger children it maybe an issue.

Self catering facilities excellent. Central location easily accessible for trains and buses, beach and shops and hostelries. Loved the black swans and waterfowl park. Hostess, Sheila, was very friendly, interesting and helpful.

We had a fabulous fortnight at the little mermaid cottage. Was really sad to go home! Absolutely everything you need for a happy holiday in Dawlish. A great location too. We travelled by train and found it to be within walking distance. The cottage is so clean and cosy, with cute mermaids around the house and lots of great artwork on the walls. You can tell a lot of love and effort went into the decor of the cottage. Sheila is an amazing host, we received such a warm welcome, and she even made us some delicious homemade scones! We love you Sheila! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
The pub over the road is super loud at the weekend! This goes on until after 1am. Absolutely nothing Sheila can do about that and it isn’t a complaint about the cottage! I’m just mentioning it as it affected our sleep. Even with earplugs I could hear them shouting to one another!
