Neighborly Nest - Apartment in the heart of Athens

Location. A simple apartment equipped with everything needed for a comfortable short stay. Located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood; in short distance to city center.

It wasn’t an issue for me, but I would recommend adding two more chairs in the kitchen.

The location was fantastic and very central about a 20minute walk to the acropolis. We messaged the host about somewhere to store our bags and because no one else was due in that day they allowed us to keep the room until we were due to be picked up. So very kind.

Size of apartment was good. A/C worked well and was indispensable. Restaurants were within 0.5 mile. Acropolis was within walking distance as well as Monastiraki shopping and restaurants.

Size was good, need wash cloths in bathroom, need kitchen towels for dishes. Wrong lock box code was sent to me twice. When we arrived at 11 AM Sep 13, we could not open lockbox. We waited at least 20 minutes at the door. Then a young man arrived to clean the apartment. He allowed us to drop our bags inside and leave while he cleaned the unit. We came back at 2 PM to get in with the lockbox code that he provided. Couch was not comfortable. One bar stool/chair needs to be fixed; it stuck at full height. Management needs to be more proactive about early communications of vital info for the apartment access. We left California on Sep 1 for our vacation and had difficulty with phone and Wifi connections throughout our whole trip. WiFi id and password did not work. We had to contact George to get correct info. Downloads on the internet barely worked. We were able to get two of our Athens Pass tickets downloaded on the first day. Subsequent attempts to get additional tickets failed. That cost us money and missed out on attractions.

The owners were great to work with - and even allowed us to enter the property earlier than previously decided upon. So thankful for a nice, clean, safe, comfortable place to rest our heads at the end of long days!
