A beautiful thatched old farm house B+B

A perfect location for a relaxing time with quiet and very friendly atmosphere. We had a family funeral to go to in the area, and Penny made us comfortable and was very kind and caring during our three day stay.

Wonderful spot in the Devon countryside, wonderful country home in a quiet and undisturbed corner.

Beautiful food, loved the rhubarb and fresh fruit with the yoghurt, and local eggs, bacon and bread to die for. Bed was comfortable, and beautifully decorated home with lovely spaces to sit down and relax of an afternoon.

Amazing place for a dream holiday

A magical place with wonderful and kind owners who took great care of us throughout our stay. The whole house and garden was like a fairy tale, amazing interior furnishings down to the last detail. Delicious breakfasts made from homemade ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, would go back in a heartbeat!

Very enjoyable, once we got the hang of the staircase.

It’s a beautiful old cottage in a gorgeous setting with a great atmosphere. Our host was attentive & very welcoming from the beginning, bringing us tea & the most delicious homemade cake on our arrival & the weather was fine enough for us to sit in the garden to have it. There were fresh flowers from the garden in our room, which was a lovely touch.

The stairs to our bedroom were tricky & ceilings were low & as we are an elderly couple, getting our luggage up there was a worry. Old houses are bound to have these features but I think it might have been better had we had some warning. Our room was pretty but very full of furniture & knick knacks so by the time we had introduced all our belongings there wasn’t much room to move.

Penny and Paul were most gracious hosts and their home is lovely. Our accommodations were comfortable and very clean. They made excellent recommendations on places to visit so we could maximize our enjoyment of Devon and Cornwall.

Time out from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life

It was just so lovely, like in a fairy tale. Penny gave ud a very warm welcome with tea, homemade cake and wine. the rooms were super cosy. It is very rare to find something like this!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful house set in an amazing location.

Everything was perfect. Cleanliness was top notch. The rooms were dressed beautifully. Everything one could wish for was provided. Welcomed with tea and cake in the garden on arrival. We would certainly stay again if in the locality. Easy access to Exeter.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was very hot whilst staying there and an option of a simple sheet would have been most welcome as an alternative to the duvet. We should have asked but didn’t but I feel sure if we had Penny would have obliged.

Weekend away for a wedding

Penny and Paul are a lovely couple, went out of their way to help, lovely location and the farmhouse is very nice, can not fault anything, would definitely recommend,

The only downfall was the pot holes on the one lane roads but really didn't bother me to much

Lovely stay in the countryside

Lovely place wirh a lovely host. Best room ever, so nicely decorated, comfortable beds, very clean. Superb breakfast. The little extra with offering tea and cake when we got back after a day out. We got good information about Devon. The place is really on the countryside and we got to practise driving on very narrow roads 😀 Loved the stay and can highly recommend it!

Relaxing break in a beautiful and cosy farmhouse, remote location, amazing hosts

We loved everything! Penny could not have been more accomodating and gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We also really enjoyed being able to use the cosy living room and fire place. It is an ideal place if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the countryside!

We liked everything! The hosts Penny and Paul were both delightful. Penny was very accommodating and helpful. We were unexpectedly greeted with a welcoming open fire and tea and delicious home-made coffee cake after our long journey :-) Penny made an amazing full breakfast with their own fresh eggs and home-made jams and compote and delicious freshly pressed apple juice!! The visitor accommodation was quite beautiful with its own charm, warm and cosy. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate and spotless. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to fellow travellers :-))

Old world Devon charm that wraps you in a warm welcome.

A warm and genuine welcome awaits, expressed with tea and cake. All the extra little touches that make such a difference to a stay were here. Lovely home produce, delicious apple juice, preserves, shortbread and cake. Fresh flowers and fruit in our room and who doesn't like their own sitting room and fire side, bliss. Penny was so helpful with suggestions and local knowledge. The perfect place to escape to, down charming Devon country lanes. Hearty countryside views and wildlife in good supply. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here.
