About this apartment rental

Recently renovated, according to the most up-to-date criteria of refinement, quality and safety, the "Mare" studio is a small jewel designed to accommodate up to 3 people in a quiet and comfortable environment. It is just one minute from the sea and from the main course of Riomaggiore. The bedroom faces west offering a spectacular view of the sea of the 5 Terre and beautiful sunsets. The level of comfort and safety is completed by beds with body-memory mattresses, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, mini fridge, security door and safe. There is no kitchen, but there is a kettle and a small amount of cups, teaspoons and glasses. No meals are given directly by us or even by external catering services.

Absolutely lovely room. I would go back to this stay many times over. It was just so beautiful. It’s hard to explain. Claudio was gracious and communicated so well. The only thing you should be well aware of is the many stairs to access your rental. I loved it, great exercise and it provided the view but it would be hard with many pounds of luggage.

First of all please be careful to consider my review rating as it may not be applicable to you . Our rating was based on our travel arrangements. We arrived at the property by rental car with two large suitcases and two carry ones as we are travelling around Europe for two months from New Zealand The site does not make it clear of the difficulties arriving by car and parking (35 euro per day) and getting to the property with so much luggage. If you were travelling by train and only had one small suitcase I would recommend this property and would have given it five stars. I believe the owner needs to provide more information so there are no surprises. After we booked we got a notification that the car parking was 10 minutes away and we naturally assumed this meant we could park outside, drop our luggage off and and then park which is acceptable. This is not the case as you need to find a carpark and get your luggage down gruelling stairs for 10 minutes. We were not given the option of organising a porter at 10 euros per bag on arrival or at the time of booking. It would be good for the owners to update the site and make this clear to people so they don’t have the same experience as we did. My wife and I are seasoned travellers in our late fifties and very fit we spend 3 to 4 months a year travelling in Europe and around the world. We are also super hosts with Vbro in New Zealand and pride ourselves on communicating and looking after our customers. Please know everything else on the site is as it says and it is clean, well appointed with an amazing view.If you are in your 70s and struggle with walking and hills I suggest you look for an alternative property. The reality is if this property was marketed correctly with accurate information we would of looked at another place to stay at one of the other small towns nearby. Once again I hope this does not put you off this is just the experience that we had.

The room was fantastic, and We absolutely ADORE Roberta! The walk to the room is very vertical so I would suggest you pack light 😉. We loved the bed, we absolutely sank into it and had the best sleep. Wake in the morning to a stunning view of Riomaggiore and the word I think of most is PEACE. Roberta was so accommodating and always available. I can’t imagine a place better than this where we could have stayed. We WILL be back!! Grazie Mille Roberta!!
