Wonderful stay in gorgeous Corniglia with a beautiful room and amazing views!

The room was beautiful and large (Azzuro room) with gorgeous views. We appreciated the swimming recommendation even if it was a lot steps ! The breakfast was lovely in the bar, also with amazing views :)

The location was perfect - right in the middle of Corniglia and the view from the room was great! The room itself was actually a lot larger than expected and there was more than enough space for our family of 4.

The breakfast was pretty minimal but it was functional.

As a single traveler that just wanted a comfortable, clean place to sleep, I would highly recommend.

Room was very basic, but clean, bed comfortable, and nice balcony with partial ocean view. Breakfast had options and staff were very nice. My room was a single/twin and definitely only appropriate for one. Small big sufficient.

Directions for arrival were confusing. I didn’t catch that I needed to go to the restaurant to get the key. Frustrating after a long day. Also, the “stink bugs” ( not sure what you call them here) in the room would have creeped out unknown travelers. I am familiar with them so not concerned, but finding a few of them on my bed/in the room may not bode well for others.

I hope to visit beautiful Corniglia again and stay in iL Magan in my same ocean view room.

The room and bathroom were updated and clean. Very nice floors. The space was very well organized for a small space. It fit all my belongings perfectly. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony has a nice view of the sea. I loved how the new glass door could open for access to the balcony or tilt open as a window to allow the fresh sea air come in. The included breakfast is delicious and served on a patio with amazing views of the sea. Corniglia is amazing and Il Magan is so nice. My room was perfect for a solo traveler. I would definitely stay here again!

A set of hooks in the bedroom would be helpful. Having a place to hold luggage before and after checkout would also be very helpful. A small fold out bedside table would be nice. I used a fold up cube that I travel with. But there’s nothing I did not like about il Magan.

The area was nice and quiet as I believe Corniglia is one of the lesser visited towns in Cinque Terre. The room has everything I needed for a 1 night stay. The staff were friendly too

Fabulous stay in historical Corniglia - highly recommend this hotel

Fabulous views of the Cinque Terra coastline from our room and the hotel restaurant. Good central location close to restaurants yet very quiet. Loved the quaint historical atmosphere of the hotel which was typical of Corniglia. Breakfast was substantial and served with a fabulous view of the hillside and ocean. Staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel. Beware luggage has to be carried to the hotel from the bus stop for about 300m over cobblestones so avoid heavy or bulky luggage.

Loved my stay here! Had an incredible view from my room with a balcony. The bar attached, La Scuna, had amazing food and offered local wine tastings. Really wish I could have stayed here more than one night.

The view was amazing and the location was great; quiet but everything accessible. Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. All you could wish for.

The air conditioning unit dripped incessantly when it was on and the water had to be emptied daily by the cleaner. Also there was no hot water for the shower - it occasionally got to warm but was mostly cold. Great on a hot day 'though!

Fantastic stay

Il Magan is in the best of the Cinque Terre villages. The family who run it are super welcoming. The rooms have the most stunning views over the hills and sea and they include a great breakfast from the beautiful sea terrace. It's a fab place to stay with lovely hospitality.

Perfect base for Cinque Terre exploration

The location is just great, with great views of both mountains, the sea and neighbouring village on the hill and not very far from the main square. Our room had a comfortable balcony to enjoy all of it. It was easy to reach from a parked car, but we did stay just one night and took only necessary things. Any hotel here would be hard to reach from the train station if you have luggage, there are quite some steps, but without heavy bags they are easy enough. The view from the breakfast terrace and the breakfast were just amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Value for money is probably the best in the area. This village, situated in the middle of the area is probably the best to base your explorations: it's much less touristy, more authentic, and there is a beautiful and easy hike to the next village and very easy train access to everywhere.

Nothing to complain about! Just take in mind our room was on the 3rd floor with a steep climb up the stairs.

The location was excellent. The balcony had an amazing view and the terrace was nice for breakfast. It is simple and no AC so keep this in mind. Good value.

Un séjour à l'Il Magan qui nous laissera toujours un excellent souvenir.

Nous avons visité les Cinque Terre au mois de janvier. C'est à dire au moment où les touristes se font rares. Ce qui est à notre sens un point positif. Les personnes qui gèrent l'Il Magan et La Scuna étaient aux petits soins pour nous. La vue sur la mer et les terrasses de culture était très agréable. Le petit déjeuner à La Scuna était bien suffisant et de qualité. Le village de Corniglia est idéalement situé au centre des Cinque Terres. Nous recommandons fortement l'Il Magan.
