Great location, but missing some rental basics

Corniglia is a tiny town, and a great mid-point along the Cinque Terre. Residenza Solferino has a great location.

The home is missing some important small touches; especially given the high cost. For example, the home has a small kitchen, but no salt, pepper, sugar, oil, wine opener or other basics to actually cook with. There is nowhere comfortable to sit—just beds and a kitchen table. The shower is fine, but the shower curtain is not long enough, so water escapes from the shower. And we were there on a very hot day; the upstairs air conditioner is pretty weak, so the home's temperature was uncomfortably warm.

Would stay again.

Clean - good facilities. Newly decorated. Directions (with pictures) to the accommodation was very helpful. Right near the bus stop (1.5euro from the station) bus is a must if you have luggage - steep climb from the station. Great central location to the main shops/restaurants. This was one of our favourite villages of the five - very picturesque.

Need to use google translate or chat gpt to communicate face to face. Self check in could also be an option. Some of the blinds were missing so pretty bright at night.

Excellent value in a sweet little town.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the location was excellent, the apartment was spacious and clean. An excellent value. We enjoyed meeting local residents who live and work in Corniglia. They were all very helpful and kind. A very special little town.

Pretty good

Air conditioning Staff were friendly

Lack of directions to find the place... Hiked up lots of steps with luggage, then we're taken back down them, round the corner and up loads steps more in the middle of a really hot day. Would have appreciated directions to our actual place to save us all the unnecessary stair climbing. No tea bags or milk, all other places in our month long trip provided this, so that was disappointing.

Beautiful clean apartment located in the middle of Corniglia!

I had another booking fall through and was able to get this one on a very timely manner. The owner was very helpful when at first I had trouble reaching them. If you don’t have whatsapp I recommend getting it, as it’s easiest to communicate with the owner that way. Anyway, this place was amazing clean and comfortable. I slept very well here. Location is very central to the restaurants and shops in Corniglia. A beautiful place in a beautiful town. Thank you!

Bright and clean. Cristina has connections she got us a reservation at her delightful restaurant. The food was outstanding and the view incredible. It was the best restaurant we enjoyed on this trip b

Nice comfortable appartment

The apartment location and space was good. It was clean and located in the village- centre. The apartment facilities were basic but were good enough for our stay ! Cristina was very kind and was always available when something was needed. Would definitely come back again !!

Nothing big but would have been better if we had a balcony to spend our evenings. Also as we did daily hiking and some beach visits, it would have been good if we had a washing machine so that we could wash our clothes before packing !

Nice with a few exceptions

The room itself was nice. It is situatedin the town center near a outdoor Cafe. The cafe had a someone singing that sounded more like howling. We were not sure if he was supposed to be comical or serious. We came to hike so having this outside at bedtime (9pm for an early rise) was not suitablefor us. There was hot water for shower on arrival. In the AM there was none. We found out there is a hot water heater in the room that had been turned off or down. This resulted in no showers before hike as we were on a time table.

Beautiful village. Great location. Simple room and facilities - just what the kids and I needed. Communication and recommendations from host Cristina was great.

I never stayed there, never checked in, never received anything and yet they took my money.

The property owner owned (2) two properties in Corniglia. The owner accepted my first booking and I paid in full. The air-conditioning was not working and no one, not the owner, not the property manager nor anyone else was there to fix the problem. I booked another room after contacting the property owner and manager about the issue. The property owner, it turns out also owned the second property that I booked for (1) one night. The owner realized that they caused the second booking and promised a refund of the second property. They never issued the refund. It was a scam if you ask me. I would never again stay at a property owned or managed by these folks.

Perfect quiet location in beautiful Corniglia! Great host, who even made a restaurant reservation for us! We loved that there is a shuttle to/from the train station for 2.5 euros. The property is near the very best gelato—Alberto’s Gelateria.

Thin walls meant we heard noisy neighbors, but not a big deal. Tiny shower.

There are 2 units. Many of the pictures are of the larger upstairs apartment. The 1st floor 1 bedroom was fine for our family of 3.

Spacious, comfortable, recently-renovated apartment in a quaint village and great value for money.

This property totally exceeded our expectations and it was excellent value for money. It has been recently renovated and they've done a lovely job. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We travelled in a group of 8, so we occupied all 3 apartments at the property. The courtyard is a lovely spot for a cup of tea in the morning or an evening aperativo. There is a grocery store nearby where you can buy supplies and lots of options for dinner. Our host was friendly, informative and quick to respond to any questions. We loved Corniglia and thought it was the quaintest of all the cinque terre.

A few more towel hooks in the bathroom would be helpful and a full length mirror would be great too. Other than that, there was really nothing we didn't like about the property.

Clean, comfortable rooms in the middle of everything, yet still quiet.

The room was bright and clean. It was centrally located so we just had to go down stairs to for dinner and to walk around town. Even though it was in the middle of things, it was still quiet in the room.

The only problem was mine --- instructions for getting the key were by text and my phone was out of power. I did find a plug in the patio and was able to charge my phone. So, just be sure that your phone is charged.

I may stay in town and just take train for day trips.

Great location. However, stairs is hard to avoid in Cinque Terre. I enjoyed the stay and the host is very quick to response to any of my questions.
