The Castle Collection - 42 Castle Street

The location in the centre of Liverpool is excellent! Close to all the shops, bars, and the docks. The apartment was comfortable.

We stayed for 3 nights. The external lock on main entrance was faulty and was only fixed on day 3 when we were leaving. We stayed in the top room on the fourth floor - room 117. Some of the window blinds did not open and some windows were open, there was no pole provided to close the windows so we could hear all the street noise in the early hours of the morning. The smoke alarm was faulty and went off at 6am on our first day - out of hours did not answer and we stood outside for 30 mins waiting for a member of staff to arrive. Didn't let any of these issues spoil our weekend away.

It was beautifully clean and spacious! The decor was lovely and it had everything I needed for my stay!!

Location was great. Spacious apartment . Facilities were fine .

I thought 2 out of the 3 staff I had dealings with were rude and quite short. They didn’t come across as helpful or polite and didn’t give a good impression. The apartment was terribly terribly hot , only 1 out of the 4 windows opened as 3 were broken and couldn’t be opened . The one window that did opened only opened a tiny bit not allowing enough cold air in . This meant the heat was ridiculous with hardly any fresh air. There was no fan provided and the heat in the apartment was just unbearable. It was quite noisy too when the cleavers arrived in the morning and other guests were leaving their apartments. The front door didn’t seem very well sound proofed. The bed was two single beds pushed together rather than a double. The price was a lot for what the apartment is when compared with other similar ones .
