About this house rental
A beautiful new property for rental from Spring 2019. A detached villa with stunning coastal views of the sea, Isle of Islay and Isle of Gigha. Ideal location for exploring Kintyre coast and islands Islay, Jura, Gigha and Arran. 20 minutes from Campbeltown and 15 minutes from Campbeltown airport, 5 minutes from the ferry to Gigha, 20 minutes from Kennacraig for the ferry to Islay and Jura, 20 minutes for ferry to Arran.
Surrounded by 2 acres of private gardens, Achnaha is a peaceful haven, ideal for families or group of friends. Choice of beautiful beaches, golf, whisky, gin, forest trails, island hopping, castles and abbeys to explore. Local pub and restaurant less than 5 minutes’ drive from the house. Local shop, garden centre, cafe, post office also less than 5 minutes’ drive.
Downstairs the house is heated by underfloor heating and has a lovely wood burning stove. The house is very well-insulated with underfloor heating and hot water provided by Air Source Heat Pump. There is a large lounge and dining area, modern kitchen with breakfast table and French doors overlooking coast with Islay, Jura and Gigha easily in view.
There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with wooden floors throughout. There is a Master bedroom (with king sized bed) and Family Bedroom (with single and bunk beds) on the 1st floor with two doubles on the ground floor (one with en-suite). Each bathroom benefits from half-height heated towel rails.
In the two main living areas there are 2 sets of patio doors for you to enjoy the fabulous views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Sound of Gigha.
Furnished to a luxury standard with all home comforts you would expect with a welcome pack included. Luxurious Egyptian cotton towels and bedding, hypoallergenic duvet and pillows. Hair dryer and hot water bottle all provided.
The kitchen is finished to a high standard. The kitchen has integrated appliances
; gas hob, oven, microwave oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Additionally there is a Nescafe coffee machine, electric wok and a George Foreman Grill. A separate utility room also provides a washing machine.
Outside there are extensive gardens with over 2 acres of ground around the house.

Lovely property located well for a no noise, peaceful break. We were 3 generations and a dog travelling together. House set up was good for spending time together but plenty of space to relax separately, if needed.5 year old loved the kids room and dog loved watching neighbouring sheep, horses and deer in neighbouring fields from the large kitchen doors!Campbeltown and Tarbert both within easy driving distance.Unrelated to property, but would advise researching dining out and booking your table as found many restaurants were full with residents.

This is a great property to stay in and to explore Kintyre from and visit Campbeltown's distilleries. Smashing views, often with beautiful sunsets and a lovely deck to enjoy them from with a BBQ. The house has lots of space and pretty much everything you need. We stayed for a week with friends and family (6 adults in total) and it was perfect for us.

Achnaha was a warm, clean and comfortable place to stay whilst we explored Kintyre and Gigha. The house had everything we needed as well as plenty of space for the kids to play indoors and out. The children’s toys and books were especially helpful so we didn’t have to bring to many of our own. Kim was easily contactable and helpful and overall we had a really lovely stay- would recommend.
