Chateau de Vaugrignon - Beer Spa

Charming family owned preserved old castle. The property is beautiful and the hosts are very welcoming. We were staying a single night on our way back home and arrived too late to enjoy the pool and the Spa beer. Breakfast in the castle main room was great and delicious

Beautiful chateau rich with history. 15th-17th century family home. Owner / Host was amazing and very welcoming and helpful.

What a beautiful property! The Chateau was awesome! The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The owner was great; several times he would check-in to see if we needed anything. The included breakfast was especially nice; the food was great and portions were good. The grounds were fun to walk around and experience. Excellent price point and overall value! Can't overemphasize the value of renting this property!

Hard to point out since it comes as part of staying in an old Chateau and the rooms did not get overly warm, but having air conditioning would have been nice since outside temps were in the upper 90's Fahrenheit.

The chateau (exterior) and gardens are very pretty, the hosts were extremely lovely and accommodating and there were amenities on site (swimming pool, massage, pool) if you wanted to use them.

The interior was quite tired and overall it didn’t seem like it was hugely thought out with guests in mind. It was comfortable, but probably not worth the price (in comparison to the other chateaux and properties we’ve stayed in during several years’ trips to the Loire). The breakfast wasn’t great - basically croissants and two stations to fry eggs or make crepes but no instructions on how to use the machines (the other couple staying had to ask for help). The communal kitchen wasn’t particularly clean, nor were the utensils - but was useful to have them if needed.
