About this house rental

A relaxing Hanalei Vacation can be yours at Hale Ylang Ylang. Steps to the beach and near the heart of Hanalei, this luxury two bedroom townhome has views of the ocean and our north shore mountains.

Relax in this comfortable home in Hanalei Bay. Feel more like a local than a tourist. Famous Hanalei Bay and its lovely beaches are across the street. Take a walk on the beach each morning, check out the surf while having coffee then surf your choice of breaks.

Two primary suites with king beds and air conditioning are located on the first level. You also have a daybed with two twins in case you have little ones. On the second level you have an open design with vaulted ceiling and lots of windows. The kitchen is open to the living room and you even have a pune’e for lounging indoors. Through the glass sliders you will find your covered outdoor dining room. Enjoy the scent of Hawaiian flowers on the breeze as you dine outdoors. There is a single car garage for your use and indoor laundry room.

Paddle surf, kayak, bike, relax in the sun...get a massage, go to yoga, fuel up at the health food store, then burn the candle at both ends with music and nightlife in Hanalei! The famous Napali Coast is just up the road. Princeville is a 10-15 minute drive away, offering golf, spas, more shopping and restaurants, beaches and more. The Princeville Airport offers scenic helicopter tours. Or, stay inside and enjoy the newer construction, king size beds, sea breezes, lanai, wood floors, granite counter tops, high speed internet: the amenities of this peaceful and quiet retreat give you no reason to leave.

There are outdoor markets to enjoy, Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar....the possibilities are endless.

We were very impressed with the property. The home was very well kept. The neighbor hood was very quiet and there was great and easy access to Hanalei Bay Beach. We had a great stay and miss it and want to go back.

The pictures do not do it justice. The home was cozy and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach every day and evening. The balcony area felt great and had views like ut was straight out of a painting.

Great property. Super close to the beach and everything you might need for the beach. Hosts were very attentive and house was super functional with all the touches to make you feel at home. Rice cooker and other little appliances to make your stay effortless. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend. Thanks for a great holiday.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house is lovely and the views from the lanai of the mountain and waterfalls are fantastic. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances, and the air conditioning from the bedrooms provides a great escape from the heat on warm days. We walked into the lovely center of Hanalei multiple times per day for food and shopping. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful home and great location. Quick walk to beach access and to town, easy with kids (ages 7 and 5). Home was exceptionally clean. Loved the lanai listening to the waves, hearing birds in the morning while reading with the cloudy mountain tops behind me. The little town has plenty to do while not being busy.

We loved this place. It was clean and well equipped with beautiful decor and comfortable furnishings. Location was perfect for walking to the beach and Hanalei shopping and dining areas. The views from the covered lanai were spectacular - a decent ocean view on one side and an excellent Mountain View on the other. Parking in the back of the home was a little tricky as the driveway is narrow and doesn’t leave a lot of room to turn a car around - not a huge concern but something to be aware of if you’re driving a full sized SUV. We loved our stay here and definitely would return in the future.

What a beautiful week in paradise. The house was everything we had hoped for and more. We had beautiful mountain views out the back windows and partial ocean views out the front windows. There was plenty of water toys/equipment and the house was well equipped with anything we could need. We loved walking to town and also a short walk to the beach. We’ll definitely be back. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Ideal location. Condo was very clean. The AC in the bedrooms was great and the temperature upstairs was comfortable in late July. My daughter slept in the upstairs daybed with no issues. The outdoor lanai is awesome and breezy, with a view of the ocean in front and mountains and waterfalls behind. We would wind down on the lanai each night with a nice drink. There is a fully stocked kitchen and grill available but despite our original plans, we didn't cook a dinner there. We found out we would rather spend more time on the beach or a hike than cooking and cleaning our own meals. That said, having a full size fridge and stocked kitchen was still ideal and used often. We also used the body boards and beach equipment every day, that was a huge convenience. The driveway and garage are a little tight and I'm glad we didn't rent a full sized SUV. The hosts were responsive and great as well. We loved our stay in Kauai and can't wait to go back.

The property is great. Our family of 5 had plenty of room. The house is well equipped. There was a wagon, beach chairs and boogie boards for the beach. The views from the Lanai were fabulous - mountains on one side and a broken view of the ocean on the other. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes. The walk to town is about 10 minutes. Great property. The only issue that we had was the city shut down the only bridge in and out of Hanalei at night. We had a 7 am flight out so we had to book a hotel our last night on the other side of the bridge so we wouldn’t miss our flight. We asked the manager if they would consider refunding our last night since we had to relocate due to the bridge closure. We were told that they wouldn’t refund anything. Ultimately it wasn’t our fault that the bridge closed. It wasn’t the property owners fault either. However, I thought the right thing to do would be to at least split the last night since we were unable to use the house. Not sure there is a right answer in this situation but I was a little disappointed in the response. Overall I would recommend the property.

The townhouse was the perfect spot to spend our week visiting the Island. The views were captivating and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable to sleep in with the air conditioning. We enjoyed the accompanying beach supplies and the walk to the beach was perfect. Really loved the whole experience was first rate.

We had a very nice long stay. We've been coming to Hanalei for over two decades and this was I believe the 10th home we rented. Everything as described. A couple of things to fix: a) bed in the second bedroom creaks like crazy - literally can't move without being woken up, b) given the location (Hanalei...it rains) - a few umbrellas would have come in handy. We look forward to returning.

This property is absolutely incredible. I’m not sure the online pictures completely do it justice. White water views of Hanalei are the icing on the cake. This home has everything you’ll need for a turnkey vacation. Amazing finished. Amazing beds. Amazing kitchen. My wife and our 3 kids were in awe of the home and the location for the full trip. Door to ocean is a 3 minute walk, max! I just can’t say enough about it and we will absolutely return!

This beautiful, 2 story apartment was the perfect retreat. From the second floor living room you can see the beach and hear the crashing of the waves. The kitchen has a beautiful view of the misty mountains. The downstairs bedrooms are quiet, dark and cool, even in the heat of mid-day. I will definitely be coming back!

Best location possible a block from Hanalei Bay. Property has two bedrooms downstairs that are air conditioned and there is an outdoor shower. Upstairs has a very well appointed kitchen with any utensil or dish you need. There’s a huge lanai that overlooks the mountains. Plenty of beach equipment and it’s a short walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to downtown Hanalei. They have a gas bbq and a one car garage.

We stayed here with our two young children (4 and 7). We found the location was perfect. It is close to Hanalei Pine Trees beach. It is a five minute walk or one minute drive to the beach. The house has beach chairs, umbrella, beach tent, coolers, and sand toys. There is AC in the lower half of the house which is so refreshing after a long day at the beach! Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals for ourselves. This house is the perfect balance of luxury/family friendly. If you compare other houses in this location you will find the price can’t be beat!

Our family enjoyed a much needed reprieve from COVID at this wonderful home in Hanalei. The house is very comfortable. We spent a lot of time out on the lanai enjoying the ocean breeze. The master suite spacious, with enough room to sleep a 3yo in the sitting area without feeling cramped. The location was fantastic - we counted 350 steps to beautiful Hanalei Bay where we surfed and played in the waves with the locals. It was only a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants in town and only fifteen minutes from Tunnels beach. We really felt like it was a more "local" experience rather than hanging out with hordes of tourists. The home offers great amenities – boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella and beach shelter (which saved our young kids on hot afternoons). The concierge service was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Check-in was super easy. Would absolutely recommend.

This is a lovely property just a block from the beach. It is all hardwood floors and quality furnishings. The house was very comfortable. THe beach access was great.... we were there several times a day. Hanalei Beach is spectacular. You wake up to the ocean sounds and beautiful bird calls. The only issue was that the neighbors can be quite noisy in the afternoons when the kids get home from school. Otherwise, the house itself and the location are great. We really appreciated having such nice accommodations for 10 nights.

This townhouse is lovely. The views are extraordinary, the layout is very functional, and the location is just great. We loved that the outside shower connected directly to the master bathroom. Brilliant! The master bed was super comfortable. And the daybed was great on rainy days (which was all days for us!). When we told the management that the boogie boards were warped, they brought us three new ones. We loved that they arranged someone to come clean during our stay. We will definitely, definitely stay here again.

Our second time at this beautiful home - love the location, layout and covered outdoor dining table. Stocked with plenty of towels, paper products, cleaning supplies etc. for the week, and nice to find the condiments and some spices etc. that people had left behind. Well-equipped kitchen for cooking but need more drinking glasses (including some plastic) and a dish drainer. Would also be nice to have some games and a puzzle or two for the rainy days.

This was our second time staying at Hale Ylang Ylang and we absolutely love the home and Hanalei. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
