This colorful three-bedroom, three-bath home sleeps eight in the heart of Hanalei, where the bay, river, restaurants, and local shops are all close enough to make the car optional for much of the day. Bedrooms have air conditioning for a cooler night's sleep, and the full kitchen, comfortable living areas, backyard, and barbecue grill make family time at home just as easy as time at the beach. Spend the morning on Hanalei Bay, follow the river, or drive toward North Shore trailheads and waterfalls, then come back behind the gated tropical landscaping to trade stories over dinner. It is a warm, practical choice for a family or friends who want to actually live in Hanalei for a while.

Guest Access:
This Hanalei home offers guests a private entrance, garden and backyard space, and outdoor seating for relaxing between adventures. Beach essentials are provided, and the beach itself is close by. There is no shared pool on site, just a quiet, private setting in town.

Hanalei is one of Kauai's most walkable small towns, framed by taro fields, waterfalls, and the broad curve of Hanalei Bay. Walk the main strip for bakeries, casual restaurants, boutiques, and local treats, then carry on to the sand for swimming, surfing, or a long sunset stroll. The Hanalei River adds another beautiful route through town, and the North Shore's trails and beaches are close when you want to explore farther. It is a great neighborhood for a family that wants beach life, food, and island character within reach.
Getting Around:
Hanalei is tucked at the end of Kauai's north shore, about 45 minutes from Lihue Airport along a scenic drive. A rental car is highly recommended since this is the way most visitors reach the area. The town itself is small and walkable, with Hanalei Bay, local shops, and casual eateries just a short stroll away. Parking can fill up in high season, so arriving early for the beach helps. It's a relaxed, laid back home base.

Check-in time: 4:00 p. m. Check-out time: 10:00 a. m. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p. m. to 8:00 a. m. and all guests must follow the property's good neighbor policy and avoid illegal activity. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. There is a separate guest house on the property where the owners or friends may stay when on island. The king bed in the upstairs bunk room can be separated into two twin beds. Please log in and out of your own streaming accounts. This home is located in a tsunami zone. Emergency and natural disaster information, including tsunami evacuation routes, is posted inside the home, and we ask every guest to review it on arrival. Wonderfully updated home right in the middle of town. But it’s not noisy at night in Hanalei. Walk to the beach. Great kitchen for cooking and eating space. Terrific coffee across the road in the morning (but there can be a line). Enjoy!

(Digital) host was welcoming, effective and efficient. House was great. Location was steps away from shops, restaurants and a short walk to Hanalei Bay.

I’ll never book with Vacasa again! Bummer because the house is in a great location, and layout worked great for our 2 families, totaling 8. The house wasn’t thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Crumbs on the coffee table, leading to ants through out! Debri on couches, on top of them feeling musty! So we literally got in, and had to find a vacuum to clean. Not a great start! The two twins were made into a king, we had to seperate them ourselves and scrounge for sheets. When Vacasa finally responded they tried to tell me it’s supposed to be a King. I then showed them the listing literally picturing two twins…Bikes are not taken care of. Flat tires when we got there, so unusable. 2 boogie boards. One had a rip so just collected water and air. Broken wagon handle. Chairs are crusty, like the handles and buckles would just rip when you tried to move them. Place just isn’t looked after thoroughly. For the price you think they’d be able to replace some basic amenities! It would have made a huge difference if there was a host readily available for these things. But the communication just isn’t there with this management company. Oh! Also the cleaning team arrived 15 mins before our check out time. Pulled all the way into the (already small) driveway! Just sat in their car and watched us load up. Awkward. Then another cleaning person pulled into the driveway as we are trying to pull out onto the busy hwy (still before check out time) just unnecessary chaos. It was weird.
