Kalipay Resort Siargao

Has a lovely experience at Kalipay from the start. We received an upgrade to the studio room which was spacious and inclded a big deck to hang out overlooking the manicured tropical garden surroundings. Contains two beautfiul pools which we made use of. The location of Kalipay is is ideal - it's close by to restaurants who are some of the best on the Island. It's also far enough from Cloud 9 and General Luna so it's a calm, quiet spot but also a few minutes to both on the scooter. Definately a step up in terms of quality and service than I normally am used to.

Location was great. Short tuk tuk ride to Cloud 9 and restaurants. Staff was even better. The A/C did not work in one of the two suites we booked. The staff replaced with two single rooms which was great. We also booked an island tour, land tour, massages, and airport transfers through the hotel which was reasonably priced and very easy to book.

Everything was great.

The property itself is beautiful. Structurally speaking, it is modern looking. Our room ( de luxe) is spacious yet gives a very cozy feeling. The courtyard is very well maintained and has many exotic looking plants. We actually became friends with the in-house gardener Jonel who excitedly shared his knowledge of the plants growing in the property and the landscape.

There’s nothing to dislike about the property.

Staff were super friendly and spacious room..

Crappy shower, lots of mosquitos, everything dated.. No bar or pool bar.. No one asked if everything is OK.. For 100€ a night you can find awesome place with better facilities in the area. All resort is pocket size beside main Tourist road.
