The room was spacious for a standard room for 2. Sheets & towels were clean. I just feel weird that the tv stand is a like a glass kitchen cabinet, same with the upper part of tie closet. It would have been better too if rooms had options for brighter light than just the dim lights. The bbq smell from the across the road can be smelled inside the room too. 😅 Amazing front beach view though. Also, our van transfer was not properly coordinated. If my daughter did not confirm at the front desk, the day staff will not be aware we were sched for 12NN. And since it was not properly coordinated by the staff I was in contact with, we had to join the 11AM sched instead.

The lounge and pool area by the beach are really nice. We spent hours relaxing on the outdoor daybeds and the breakfast was superb. The staff at the dining area were also very friendly and approachable. The location is a major plus as it’s right in the middle of General Luna, so everything is very accessible. They also agreed to let us check in early, like 2 hrs before. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the road, though and it can get noisy at night because of the bars across the street. The hotel wifi was also terrible. Netflix kept buffering. Playing anything on Youtube was a struggle and the bidet pressure was weak. The biggest issue for me, however, was our experience with the front desk. We asked them in the morning to help us book a shared van for two people to catch our flight the following day. When we got back to the resort around 6:30 PM, we asked if it had been confirmed. They said it wasn’t yet and told us to call again at 7 PM. We did but there was still no confirmation, so we eventually decided to arrange our own transport. We managed to find a shared van ourselves. However, on the day of our flight, I accidentally left my wallet at the front desk. When we called, the staff happily agreed to offer their “private van” for ₱3,000. Since we were in a rush, we agreed. When the van arrived, though, it turned out not to be private and it already had other passengers inside. We called Isla Cabana and were told that the shared rate was ₱400. The driver then negotiated with us, saying he needed to give “the person’s cut” and we ultimately paid ₱1,500. I’m not sure what arrangement had been made between the resort and the driver but the whole situation felt unclear and honestly, quite uncomfortable. I found it disappointing, especially because we had specifically agreed to a private van at ₱3,000. Overall, Isla Cabana has a beautiful property, great breakfast, and an excellent location, but the front desk experience left a lot to be desired. I hope they can be more transparent with guests, particularly when arranging transportation.

was there for a work trip and stayed at their standard rooms. good value in comparison if you don’t mind the noise at night - stops at midnight so it was still bearable for us. the place and the people are great. breakfast and coffee is good.

Disappointing! This may have been a luxury resort and worth the $$$$ at some point in the past. Now poorly managed, understaffed and not well taken care of. They seem to be trying to squeeze every Peso out of it while they still can. Pretty photos, no doubt, but ones stay here gets killed by noise pollution in all rooms. Yes, I know, reviews as well as even the staff told me about the nightly noise of the single rooms facing the main street ahead of time (why they still can charge as much as they do the?). What I was unprepared for in the (beautiful) cabana - by nature not very soundproof - is that the screaming karaoke from the Neighbourhood (not the disco on the street) will also keep you up until almost 1 AM! A neighbor hammering all day on his roof makes for limited quiet even during the day at the poolside. It’s not all bad: breakfast and staff at the restaurant are great, walking the walkways at night is a pleasure with romantic lighting, proof of a good initial concept for this place. But property is a bit dated now, the endless pool very warm and not endless because the pump is constantly off, the beach is full of litter half the time at low tide and not exactly a pretty sight. The “outdoor” shower surrounded by rough concrete could use a makeover and the common wood floors constantly covered with sandy footprints. The gym is totally overheated and overcrowded (AC is always off - with walls made of glass!) and there is just too much equipment in the room, making it hard to maneuver (and preventing a heatstroke in the process). The desire to save $$ here and there at the place is telling and defies the aspirations of a place of luxury. Ownership is money hungry - I had booked through Agoda and paid for 4 nights in advance, but was forced to leave early. Not only could I not get a refund (ok I get it, it’s booked through Agoda), but i had hoped they would not charge me for the incidentals (a fraction of the price for 1 night stay). After all, they could now charge for the same room a second timek was open to it, but had to ask “the missus” via telephone, which took a half hour, who then said NO. Disappointed overall, the property did not live up to the pretty photos. If you look for a romantic place with quiet nights, you may want to look elsewhere.
