Enjoy privacy at this totally renovated (2012-2021), free standing villa on the North Shore of Kauai, steps away from beaches. It boasts magnificent garden and mountain views and overlooks the prestigious Makai Golf Course. Stunning sunsets from across the street ! Enjoy the luxury of cooking at home in your own, fully equipped kitchen and the convenience of a washer and dryer. This 2 bedroom 2.5 bath cottage is the perfect tropical getaway. This is the only villa with this floor plan, having a oversized master bedroom . It has a lanai off of the living area and a private lanai off of the master bedroom. Relax and enjoy the pleasant trade winds and views at you leisure here. The villa is set back from the road and it is very private and quiet. The walking/bike trail passes in front of the Hanalei Bay Villas

This villa is located across the street from Hideaways Beach and walking distance to the Pu'u Po'a Beach, and Pali Ke Kua's Beach. Watch stunning sunsets from the bluff in front of the units.It is also just 2 miles from the Princeville Shopping Center where you can enjoy shopping and dining. The Queens Bath is located 5 minutes drive away or a short walk whichever you prefer. If you desire a secluded Beach, try Sea Lodge Beach.

Within the Princeville community you will also find the award winning Prince and Maka'i golf courses, a full service spa, jogging path and fitness circuit, tennis courts, numerous boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.

The town of Hanalei, with shops, restaurants, Hanalei bay and newly redone , however preserving the history , Hanalei pavilion are within 10 minutes of driving. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent at Black Pot Beach and in Hanalei.

Pass Hanalei and drive the scenic road to Ha'ena, stop for a swim at Lumahai Beach or snorkel at Tunnels. At the end of the road, Ke'e Beach offers protected snorkeling or swimming for the little ones. The Kalalau Trail also starts at Ke'e beach.

Anini Beach, Kilauea Lighthouse , zip lining, horse back riding and many hiking trails are a very short drive away.

This little gem was a great place to stay while exploring the island. Most of the things we wanted to do or see were on the north shore, so it was a perfect place for us. Enjoyed having a tub to soak in after a long hike, and the lanai's to just watch the world go round.

This was my third time staying at the Turtle House and my first time bringing extended family. My in-laws were visiting Hawaii for the first time, and we wanted to bring them to Kauai because it's our favorite island! The accommodations were very comfortable for 4 adults, and we appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was for cooking. We bought fish at the Dolphin Fish Market and along with our Costco trip on day one, it was the perfect way to spend more time together in the comfort of a home. It's great that the house has beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. because my family was able to split up and do whatever activities they wanted. This time we mostly stayed on the North Shore because the weather was so lovely. We did a couple of big hikes, enjoyed the shopping in Kilauea and Hanalei, and visited the nearby Hotel 1 for drinks during a beautiful sunset. Never want to stay anywhere else on the island. This is the best! Many thanks to Irina for always being such a lovely hostess and keeping her home a wonderful place to visit.

This is an exceptionally clean and well organized property. The owners have truly poured their hearts into it and it shows. The location is amazing, being right on the Makai golf course and so close to the Princeville center. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We enjoyed nearby farmers markets, evening walks on the golf course, and seeing the glorious sunsets. There are a handful of beaches nearby to choose from. The owner is very attentive and responsive. We absolutely enjoyed staying in this villa!

This is a very comfy, well stocked cottage surrounded by beautiful vegetation and birds. The host is very helpful with any questions you may have. It’s a great location to explore the North Coast.

I was nothing but impressed with this condo. You could not ask for a better location: back from the road and close to a dead end of the road, so little traffic; almost directly across the street from a cliff-side ocean view; within short walk of a restaurant w/great pizza and salads, and in other direction a hotel w/ public access to the beach; Views of mountains and golf course from the decks! The place was super clean. The kitchen completely outfitted with everything you could need. Generous and complete gear for beach-going. Helpful books of sight-seeing recommendations. Very comfortable all around. We would definitely try to stay here again if ever in Kauai again!! Thank you so much for sharing this place!! J&S

The 2-bedroom home was clean and comfortable. The homeowners have taken meticulous care of their home and stocked it with everything you could want including beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels etc. The Lanai overlooks the golf course. Had a very pleasant stay.

Great place overall to stay in the North Shore. Easy access to Hanalei and the north shore Napali Coast snorkel tour. We love this part of the island. The VRBO was more of a townhome--2 stories. Kitchen/living area/lanai/1/2 bath on 2nd floor (main access point), and downstairs had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and laundry. It was quiet, except for the lawnmowers for the golf course that came super early. Very clean and well maintained. Great place to stay.

We really loved this villa. It was clean, well stocked and Irina was very responsive to any questions we may have. You can tell Irina and Robert put a lot of love in their Turtle House. It is close to Hanalei and right across the street from Hideaways Beach. Great pizza in walking distance. We hope to come back soon!

Irina & Robert thought of everything at this home. They manage it themselves and put a lot of attention to detail into their home. You really do have everything you could imagine at their house, much of which is listed in their VRBO inventory (i.e. beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, etc.). The house was spotless and I would recommend you keep it that way by taking shoes off at the front door for example and shaking out/washing off anything sandy. The area is undersold. I wasn't sure what to expect of this part of Princeville but you are a 5 minute walk to Hideaway beach (tough access if you're not in top form) and can drive to many other beaches. We walked to the resort just next to the house and enjoyed a drink and the sunset. There's another beach down there which is about a 10 minute walk but considerably easier to get to. Irina was very easy to communicate with but we didn't need much as the house really does have everything. I'm so glad I booked this spot- it's quiet, comfortable and cosy. Loved it!

The home was really outstanding - the owner communication, cleanliness, and layout were really perfect. The only issue was a lack of air conditioning, which resulted in mosquitoes in the bedroom and a lack of privacy (visually and noise) from neighbors next door.

This was the perfect house to stay for our first visit to Kauai. Irina and Robert were great property owners and checked on us the first day to make sure we got in ok and didn't need anything. The house was immaculately clean and everything was labeled so it was easy to find what we were looking for. The house was also stocked with pantry items such as, cooking spices, condiments and oils which we appreciated immensely as we did not have any of those and did plan to cook some meals at the house. The location was great as well, walking distance to a beautiful golf course as well as some restaurants. We rented a car and there was an assigned parking spot close to the house for us to use. We were 10 driving minutes from a shopping village with a grocery store and nice restaurants as well as shops. Irina even checked in on us mid trip to let us know about some paving work being done in the parking lot, we were appreciative of the heads up. When it was time to leave all the directions for closing up and cleaning up was posted clearly in the kitchen so there was no questions as to what was expected of us. We will definitely recommend the turtle house to any friends planning a visit and we would love to stay at this house again on our next visit.

We spent a week at Turtle house in Princeville over “ski week”. The home is beautiful and has everything for a comfortable vacation! We appreciated the extra touches such as the large amount of spices and mustard/soy sauce etc (in the fridge door). The home was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The owners provided beach towels and chairs which was really great since we obviously didn’t bring any! Walking to Pu’u Poa beach is super easy on the walking path next to the Hotel. Hideaway beach is also fairly easy to reach-though a little trickier because of the mud. The one watch out for this home are the number of steps up to the front door and then down inside to the bedrooms as they’re on the lower level. It didn’t affect any of us as we’re all athletic and in good shape but if you have knee or hip issues I can see how it might be a little more of a challenge. We experienced quite a bit of rain during our stay but didn’t let it stop us…we still had a memorable stay and look forward to our next time on the beautiful garden island! Mahalo nui loa!

This rental was the absolute cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Great location. Parking. It had everything we needed for our 2 week stay & more. It was so nice to have all the beach accessories right there. Chairs, cooler etc. They thought of absolutely everything. Would def. stay here again. 😊

We were two couples celebrating 40+ years of marriage. This home was even better than the pictures. Beautiful location. Everything we could imagine needing was supplied and more. The hosts left detailed instructions for everything. Princeville is a bit of a drive from some of the activities we wanted to do, but still worth it. I would definitely stay here again.

After more than a dozen trips to The Islands, #23 is the most well appointed property we've ever stayed at. They have everything you could need and more. Everything is very clearly labeled and the instructions are clear. We stayed for two weeks and friends joined us for a week. The property is big enough for 4 adults to stay comfortably and because it's detached you don't have to worry as much about noise or noisy neighbors. The location is ideal if you're staying on the North Side. It's walking distance to Put Poa and Hideaway Beach and a short drive to Hanalei Bay. Princeville market is a short drive or long walk and has most of what you may need. And of course there's the golf course which is right outside the lanai where you can watch the sun rise every morning. If you're debating between two places and #23 is one of them pick #23. You won't be disappointed. We'll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the villa! Well stocked, clean and extraordinarily quiet! Kaua'i is a magical place! The only thing was it was not "steps to the beach"...we are in our early 60's and thankfully had a rental car. There was no way we could access Hideaways Beach at an 85 degree angle holding onto ropes and vines and no stairs....and the concrete stairs to the other beach was far as well. Unfortunately the resort being renovated is still under construction and no way to access thru there either. Otherwise, we loved it!

We have stayed in the Princeville area for many years and always wanted to stay in one of the 'stilt homes'. Irina and Robert's place was so perfect! Their turtle home was so well stocked with anything and everything we could imagine! The bed was super comfy! The location of the home with the mountains on one side with amazing sunrises over the golf course, And then our favorite beach across the street. And incredible sunsets from the lookout! It was such a dreamy vacation!

This has been one of the best places we've ever stayed at, anywhere in the world!! So many thoughtful touches -- motion sensor lights on the stairs, beach chairs -- were spread all over the house. One of our favorite memories of our trip to Kauai was having coffee on the balcony overlooking the gorgeous landscape. It really felt like being at home, esp with the well stocked kitchen since we like making food instead of going out to eat for every single meal. I also can't say enough about the location. The views overlooking the golf course seemed like they were out of a postcard; there was a rainbow the first fully day we were there. Hideaway Beach is literally a 5 min walk from the place. Irina was super communicative and fast to respond. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay! We would definitely love to come back the next time we're in Kauai. We've already shared this listing with a bunch of our friends and family. Strongly recommend staying here if you're visiting Kauai!

My mom and I stayed here and we absolutely loved it! We felt so at home. Well stocked with everything you could think of. Beautifully decorated and amazing views of the golf course and mountains. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck taking in the beautiful breeze and sunrise. We miss it already!
