THE APARTMENT:
The apartment is newly renovated, the renovation was completed early March 2017. It is approximately 95 square meters (1000 Square Feet) in size.
It has very high ceiling 3 m (12 feet). It is on the first floor of a 4-story building without elevator. The apartment features a large living room in the front with three big windows facing Corso dei Tintori. From the front window you can see the tower of Palazzo Vecchio.
The apartment is equipped with sound insulating windows to guarantee maximum tranquillity. From the living room there is a long corridor that leads to the rear of the apartment. The corridor also serves as a mini-art gallery.
The rear of the apartment is very very quite and has two large bedrooms as well as two full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
The bedroom with restored traditional-style furniture has a large window that opens into a courtyard (rustic looking). The courtyard provides tons of natural light to the bedroom, the kitchen and the smallest of the two bathrooms.
The second bedroom has a big solid-wood sliding door that separates it from the dining room. It also has a very high solid-wood door with beautiful artistic stained glass with metal inserts. The door open into a mini courtyard. The mini-courtyard however does not provide natural light and it is not for guest use.
The two full bathroom are both new with showers, sink and toilet, the larger of the two has also a bidet.
There is a washing machine in the kitchen.

GUEST ACCESS
You will have the entire apartment for yourself.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The neighborhood is Santa Croce. Piazza Santa Croce is one block away. Palazzo Vecchio is 5 minutes walk away, Ponte Vecchio is 5 minutes walk away. The river Arno is a block away (2 mins walk).

GETTING AROUND:
The apartment is 10-15 minutes ride from Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
From the train Station take the 23b, the stop is on the left side of the station
down the street there are tens of restaurants and pubs at walking distance, there is also a supermarket across the street (two minutes walk).
The apartment is 25 minutes walk from the main train Station, 10 minutes taxi ride, 10-15 minutes Bus ride from Santa Maria Novella Train Station.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
If you take the bus from the train Station:
Once you get off the train, walk toward the station and exit the station on the left side (there is a pharmacy on this side). Once outside the station go to the bus stop to your left and not to the one on the right. The bus stop is called "Stazione valfonda" take the 23b (it runs every 5 to 10 mins). Get off at the bus stop called "Corso dei Tintori", the apartment is across the street.
The ticket can be bought on the bus directly for 2 Euro, or at a news stand for 1.5 Euro.

with the bus from the Apartment to the Train Station:
Once you get off the building, make a left and walk 50 feet to via dei Benci. The bus stop is on the left side. From there take the 23 to the train station. it runs every 5 to 10 minutes.

PARKING
There is a private garage next door for parking, the cost is about 20-25 Euro per night.
