About this house rental

We now have WIFI. Conveniently located 1 mile from The Orchard and Twin Oast Brewery with the Igloos in the winter. The cottage is 2 bedroom and 2 bath cottage. The cottage is conveniently located by the Miller Ferry to Put In Bay and all Lake Erie Islands. There are several restaurants located nearby. The cottage is newly remodeled with central air and cable TV. There is a washer and dryer,fridge,stove, and all small appliances included. There is a patio outback with a gas grill for those relaxing summer nights. The location is family friendly and only steps to private and well maintained Gem Beach. We do prefer 3 days to weekly rental in the summer, but off season is 2-3 days minimum, unless you contact the owner. Our driveway is 50 ft long if you have a smaller boat/trailer and truck. Guests are responsible for filling their own propane tanks and cleaning grill. Absolutely no parties allowed!

We would definitely stay again . Great location for having fun things to do and places to eat and shop

Although I thought the place was really cute it could have been cleaned better. Table and bar needed wiped and floor under the table was pretty dirty. The front porch was full of spider webs and the back patio needed cleaned. I would stay again but I do think they could spend just 1 more hour cleaning.

Not the cleanest. Toilets were not completely clean. Refrigerator also. Dead bugs on window sills and lots of cob webs outside. Nice patio in back could not be used because not clean and old, dirty furniture. Shame cause could be a nice patio. Front porch same condition as back patio! Place smelled of mildew and carpets were disgusting/stains. Only saving grace was location but probably won’t do VRBO again.

Cozy place for the 2 of us. Lots to see and do nearby-hiking, lighthouses and the beach. We enjoyed the Orchard for drinks (the Coop) and later for dinner. Melissa was very responsive and gave us good directions on the house.

The location cannot be beat! We walked to the beach, the Fourth of July parade was at the end of the street. Bring your bikes because you can ride all over. The house provides lots of beds and 2 full baths. Towels, paper products, garbage bags, and extras are all there. It is better stocked than most places I have stayed. The host is easy to work with. I would have appreciated a leaf blower for the back patio. It needed some love, but it would be great to hang out there if it were clean. The hammock needs to be stored inside so you could actually use it.

Quaint, quiet, perfect for 5 guests. Really enjoyed the layout of the property, which provided enough spacing and privacy for everyone. Melissa was extremely easy to work with and responsive. All the creature comforts are available for a memorable stay away. Would highly recommend.

Biking distance to everything

Biking distance to everything

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. We took walks to the nearby beach, biked around the island to the brewery, as well as the ferry. Biking lanes on the busier roads and where there weren't biking lanes (residential roads) drivers went around us. Locals and other vacationers very friendly and everyone waves to each other. The host was very accommodating and a good communicator. I would definitely stay here again!

Melissa was a wonderful host. Very responsive to texts checking in and out. WiFi would be a nice add. Plenty of room and convenient to attractions. We particularly liked visiting the islands during our stay. Full kitchen and laundry were handy. About two or three blocks walk to a small beach at the marina. Water not in view of the property. Plenty of room for the two of us. Check out the 0rchard restaurant nearby, amazing farm to table chef foodie experience. Jolly Roger in Port Clinton is the place for perch and walleye.

We found the cottage to be very nice and felt right at home. Located in a quest and peaceful neighborhood where the people were friendly and helpful. We would go back again and we recommend it to others.
