This is an historical house from the early 1900's. The ceilings are high like the home I grew up in. Many of the furnishings are original. The maintenance of house and furnishings is for the most part excellent. It is not specifically a bed and breakfast, but there is a full kitchen to prepare meals. The kitchen has a gas range similar to what my grandmother had, in perfect working order. The location is a short drive or a 15 minute walk to the Lodi center, which has an abundance of restaurants. The hostess is congenial, helpful, and lives next door in case a person needs anything.
Generally no complaints, though if I were forced into a corner and made to come up with something I would hope for a more comfortable couch in the living room. Leather upholstery would match the surroundings. The takeaway is that there is a living room, adjoining the dining room.

Such a gorgeous house! This house is amazing, welcoming. The courtyards are so well loved and maintained. Also, the coffee served is amazing. Go try some ☕️☕️☕️
It’s an old home with so much character. There are cracks and creaks and the home does get cold but Jane has a solution for that! The heated beds?! So amazing. And so comfy.

Jane who manages Lodi Hill House shared the rich history of the house and family. My room was the “girls’ room” with sweet and very comfortable twin beds. I had the use of the upstairs bathroom with a tub perfect for a personal spa day. In the kitchen there is great coffee and Jane has stocked the freezer with homemade food in case you arrive hungry. I enjoyed having a morning coffee in the kitchen with other guests followed by breakfast in the formal dining room. In the late afternoon I enjoyed cheese and wine on the front porch taking in the sunset.

I loved the old book cases, the hand made furniture throughout the home, the staircase, and luxurious wood carvings in each doorway and entry way. It’s a lovely vintage home. We felt like we went back in time to the early 1900’s.
