Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah)

Everything about this place was fine. The only slight drawback is its location. You need to use a Grab car to go anywhere including restaurants unless you are wanting more of the local Warung experience. But this was not a big deal and the centre of town was a short Grab ride. We stayed here for three nights then another night after spending two nights at Borobudur. One night we were the only people staying and we were given a special breakfast by the very friendly staff.

Nice common area with lots of plants and seating. Varied breakfast each morning. Good location to see Yogyakarta but not in the middle of tourist area

The first room (ground floor) we stayed in was a little dark and tired. The soundproofing everywhere was also terrible

Everything! Rumah Jawa was just lovely, it had a feeling of peacefulness and tranquility as soon as we walked in. It was very easy to get everywhere by taxi or on foot but was in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was amazing! I had messaged prior to our stay and the guesthouse arranged a driver to take us to Borobudur and Prambanan. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was fantastic value. I would definitely recommend to stay here
