Hostal Palacio Luna

Very central. Simple but clean and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The location is perfect with the metro station gran via which is 2 mins away and nice asian shops around if you need emergency snacks

The bed was nice, comfortable, and with good pillows. The room, bedding, and towels were clean, though there was some dust on the night stand. The location is very good. The nearest, and also very central, metro station is just 3-4 minutes away and there's a pretty large Carrefour Express just near by. All main sights are within walking distance.

I had the private room with bathroom booked (with no refrigerator). I reckon the room had a bit too much moisture in it, maybe it was closed for too long - in any case some fresh air would have helped. At night I sensed some toilet smells (sewage-like), which should not be the case for a room at this price. In the morning it seemed like some smell of cooking was getting into the room - not sure if through the window or under the doors - in any case it was a nuisance, and sleeping with closed windows and no AC was not an option. The room was a little undersized for two people with luggage. It was hard not to bump into each other constantly, trying to avoid the suitcase etc. Not sure if worth the price asked (155 eur/night).
