About this house rental
•Charming house that was originally an 1820 two room schoolhouse that has been added onto and modernized over the years. People playing tennis, pickleball, basketball, board games or simply reading in a quiet corner. Using the paddle board on the spring fed waters of Crystal Lake and taking in the beautiful scenery and lake homes. Taking a dip in Crystal Lake on the way home from a day at the beach. There's something for everyone in this house!
•Park like grounds allow for some great hide and seek games while the rest of the family just relaxes on the back patio. Mature gardens offer something in bloom from spring to fall. Beauty and nature abound! You'll see why we call it the "The Good Life"!
•Use of beach chairs, toys, beach towels, umbrella, boogie boards , tennis and pickleball raquets and paddle board. Central A/C in main house with A/C window unit in guest quarters. Extra parking behind the guest cottage. Three flat screen TVs plus wireless high speed internet.

We enjoyed our stay at this property as an extended-family group: one elderly grandparent, four parents, and four kids ages 7 to 16.
Our favorite things:
- The location is great, short drive to town and to the beach. We especially enjoyed Skaket beach with the kids.
- The tennis/pickleball court was a huge hit with much of our group.
- We LOVED how well stocked the property was with fun outdoor gear, including everything for tennis, pickleball, and the beach. Plentiful beach towels, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, and more.
- Everything was clean, and the mattresses seemed quite new.
- The kitchen was a great gathering space for us, plenty of room for all 9 of us to sit and enjoy being together. It is across the mudroom from the main part of the house, which was an unexpected plus, since it made a good space for part of the group to assemble early or late in the day, without disturbing others who were sleeping.
- The AC was great to have and worked well.
A couple of downsides:
- I don’t recommend this house for elderly folks with mobility limitations. I had verified with the owner that there’s a groundfloor bedroom with en suite bath, but the bed in there is so high that the grandparent in our group couldn’t safely get up and down, and ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room :( That worked but wasn’t ideal.
- My husband and I had planned to sleep in the cottage, but it smelled strongly of Raid insecticide, so we switched to the main house.

We enjoyed the clean spacious living conditions that could sleep 10 people comfortably. Really enjoyed the spacious kitchen where we congregated the most. It was a home that was very comfortable and had many perks.
It was also nice that the Renters Guide was very helpful.
