A lovely apartment plagued with problems

I really liked the apartment and the location, sadly there were many problems, see below

When we entered the apartment the temperature was uncomfortably low (16dg) so we set it to 23. Shortly afterwards there was no electricity or heating. We called the landlady and after a while she instructed us on how to reset it from mains, downstairs. It worked for about 10 seconds. Then we noticed the boiler outside was leaking a considerable amount of water. We were told to play with the switch there but that was too much for me to handle. I called Booking to demand for an alternative accomodation, considering it was already 7pm, but they wouldn't help until they heard from the landlady, Luckily for us she came around and managed to fix it while we were out eating. There were no other problems with the electricity from then on, thankfully, but it took a whole two days for the apartment to feel warm. Also, the shower wasn't very hot, it would constantly switch between hot and cold. Anyway, we had a bath instead. So, an experience overall that left much to be desired. I just wis Booking had promptly offered an alternative accomodation, that would have been much less stressful. Finally, the information provided needs updating: 1. The wifi password is incorrect 2. The phone number for opening the main door doesn't work 3. There's no need to leave money for the tourist tax if booking here, as it's already included

The location is excellent and the owners good with communication. The apartment is lovely Italian style. We stayed as a family so suited our needs.

It was really easy to find. It's located near by the museum so we can made a good cultural programme. The flat is well equppied, especially the bathroom is beautiful. The host was so lovely and helpful, she showed us where we can have a breakfast, which was also amazing. I really recommend it, we will go back for sure.

The apartment is located in a nice quiet square, next to the museum. It is a short walk from the gates to the Città Alta. A short walk in the other direction brings you to a busier road with plenty of shops, cafés and wine bars. A voucher for breakfast in a local cafe was included with the apartment - which was a really nice touch. Great communication from the host.

Owner was very friendly and replied immediately to any queries. She called round with mugs and supplies when I rang to leg her know I couldn't find any, and she helpfully booked us a table at a restaurant she recommended. Great location between old and new town. Was very suitable for my 2 adult daughters and me, as had a double bed and 2 double pull outs. Lovely bath.

Bedrooms could be a problem for some people as have to walk through each others to get to the bathroom.

The apartment is located in the centre of everything. Lots of musiams, shops, bars and restaurants right at your door step. The room is big enough and very well equipped for 5 people. The host is an amazing person, very welcoming and very helpful, . .

A perfect place to get to know Bergamo with detail

The apartment is next to the Accademia Carrara art gallery in a stately building in a very nice square. It is located in an unbeatable place to know the city of Bergamo. It is a few minutes from the funicular station to the Citta Alta and you can go down through the San Agostino Gate in a pleasant walk. You have a tobacco shop-bar very close to buy tickets for the bus and the funicular. You have the bus stop a few steps away (in Cesare Battisti 5, where you can take buses to station numbers: 9 and 6, or to Citta Alta number 1. You also have a Carrefour Express supermarket in about 200 meters...The person in charge takes the Papavero Coffee a few steps in via San Tomaso (and we were invited!).

Appartamento molto sporco. Piumini completamente macchiati. Difficoltà nel far partire il riscaldamento. Abbiamo fatto una notte al freddo perché il riscaldamento non partiva. La padrona si è resa disponibile per aiutarci e il giorno dopo questo si è risolto. Ma la struttura presenta enormi problemi di pulizia, come il fatto che quando la padrona è venuta a casa per sistemare il riscaldamento, è venuta con il bambino e ha sporcato letti e casa di biscotti.

Przestronne i czyste mieszkanie, dobre dla niewymagających 6 osób. Dobra lokalizacja, blisko do głównych atrakcji bergamo. Miła obsługa.

Zimno, mieszkanie nie było ogrzewane przed naszym przyjazdem, sezon grzewczy zaczyna się od 15 października, więc w okresie koniec września do 15 października może być zimno. Kubatura mieszkania wymaga dobrego ogrzewania. 3 rolki papieru toaletowego dla 6 osób na 4 dni to żart.

Die zentrale aber gleichzeitig ruhige Lage waren gut, aber das hat den Stress davor (siehe "nicht gefallen") nicht gutgemacht.

ACHTUNG: Wer kein WhattsApp hat, sollte um dieses Quartier bzw. seine Besitzer einen weiten Bogen machen. Der Besitzer reagiert auf Nachrichten via Booking App nur mit automatisierten Antworten und zwar dass alle weiteren Infos (z.B über den Zugang zum Appartment) und jegliche Kommunikationen nur über sein WhattsApp stattfinden werden. Auch Anrufe werden nicht beantwortet. Wer also gebucht und bezahlt hat, bleibt dann ohne WhattsApp im Regen stehen oder muss sich die App erst runterladen und sich damit vertraut machen. Eigentlich ein Skandal! In der Wohnung dann weitere Enttäuschungen: Zimmer sind nicht durch Türen getrennt: Durchgangszimmer. Das 2. Bett war nicht gemacht, Bettwäsche nach langem Suchen in der Bettlade gefunden. Resümee: größte Enttäuschung seit langer, langer Zeit!

Es cómodo y bonito, en un lugar encantador, al pie de la ciudad alta. Hay parking barato cerca.

Las explicaciones para acceder son incompletas. La puertas se abren con el móvil, pero no se indica cuál es la del piso. Había tres, tuvimos que llamar y se nos dijo que "la que estaba abierta". Es un poco raro andar empujando puertas para comprobarlo y no creo que a los vecinos les haga gracia. Atención: el baño no es accesible, hay no menos de tres escalones.
