Cowell Beach House - 1/2 Block to Beach, Wharf, Boardwalk, Cowells, Lighthouse

If you are looking for a great home and location while visiting Santa Cruz, this is it! The home was well equipped and clean! We walked to the wharf and the boardwalk with ease! Other beach locations and destinations were within minutes by car! It’s always a plus to have the use of a washer/ dryer while visiting the beach. Just bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap for the bathroom! We had a ball! Thank you for sharing your home.

Was an amazing Experience, took the family and enjoyed every second of it. very close to everything you need. even had a wal-mart delivery made!

Didn't mind the walk to the beach. A pleasant convenient neighborhood with hiking trails. The owners thoughtfully left beach towels, chairs and an umbrella which were easy to carry down. A great stay for a family of four.

Really wanted to enjoy this property during our daughters graduation weekend. Upon arrival, we could see dust everywhere as if it had been empty for months. The twin beds caved in the middle a bit, living room furniture was different from images and not very comfy. Some dishes in cabinets were staged clean but found out they were dirty, & upon rinsing 2 of them brown ick came off of them. Coffee pot was dusty and carafe was dirty, Toaster oven was old and dirty. Worst part of kitchen was all the layers of dust inside the kitchen cabinets. When I spoke with the owner she sent her cleaning gal over that afternoon & the young lady tried to clean the kitchen with furniture spray. Really? She didn't even attempt to wash dishes/clean inside of cabinets so we ended up asking her to leave as she said she had no idea what needed to be re-cleaned. This visit cost us a ton, yet we do not feel like we got our money's worth. The shower head doesn't move and it sprays strong and mostly out the shower window. Possibly they previously hired better cleaners? Wish the owner would sleep here a few days with this level of cleanliness and see how they enjoy it. Although we received quick responses from the owner, she didn't provide any check out instructions and didn't seem concerned about the level of dust and dirt as she said it gets rented frequently. Wish I could provide a better review, as I am super sad we lost hard earned money and were barely able to rest or host our daughter there.
