About this house rental
We are top hosts with a local vacation permit through the city of Santa Cruz and have never cancelled a traveler so you can book with peace of mind that your booking is secure. Our home is in Midtown Santa Cruz. Close to the Highway, one mile to the beach, 1/2 mile to downtown. We love this quiet neighborhood and its a great place to stay in Santa Cruz!!
Our home is a historic home built in 1865. We have updated it but there are still some quirks to it. The stairs are skinny and slightly uneven in the step and there is a stair between the kitchen area and living room. Ceilings are lower in the upstairs bedrooms and upstairs bath.
There will be all the basic amenities you will need. Beach towels, toys and a few chairs are also provided. If there is something else you may need please let us know!!
-Please park ONLY ONE car on the pavers in the driveway. The pavers are the bricks along side the grass. Do not park in front of the palm tree. Please make sure to LEAVE THE DRIVEWAY CLEAR AT ALL TIMES for the backhouse. Any other vehicles can park on the street.
-The code to the door will be sent 2 days prior to arrival
(Press the Yale logo, wait a few seconds for the keypad to turn on, enter passcode passcode, click the check mark, wait a few seconds and the door should unlock) to lock just press the Yale and it should lock automatically.
-We want you to enjoy your vacation but please remember this is a quiet family neighborhood with working families so please keep the noise down between 10pm-8am. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. The neighbors are close so be respectful. If you are loud and disrupt the neighbors they will call the police and you will be asked to leave with no refund.
-If you do smoke we ask if you do it on the front porch with all windows and doors closed and dispose of all butts in the outside garbage on the back porch. If we find garbage or cigarette butts on the property we will charge a extra cleaning fee.
-Air/ heat upstairs in each bedroom heats and cool very quickly. Please make sure the units are turned off when you leave the house. AIR CONDITIONING IS ONLY UPSTAIRS. THE DOWNSTAIRS IS HEAT ONLY.
-The upstairs front bedrooms window is low. If you have kids the window opens from the top down to keep them safe.
-The house only allows up to 6 adults per our short term rental permit. Extra guests will be asked to leave.
-We have a strict no pet policy. Please leave your furry friend at home.
-If you are staying on a Monday night, garbage pickup is Tuesday mornings. Just want to give you a heads up they can be a little loud.

This was a spacious, lovely house in a great location in Santa Cruz. The house was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. The one thing I'd note is that the linens and pillowcases seemed to be washed with scented detergent, so if you are sensitive to smells and plan to stay here, I would recommend bringing your own pillow. But overall such a wonderful spot!

We recently stayed for a week while visiting family. It’s always hard to find quality extended housing in the area so we were happy to find this rental. Everything was seamless. Fantastic communication with the owners, issues, which can always come up, were addressed immediately. House had a good layout, we were very comfortable. Very appreciative they had the upstairs AC for my young daughter to sleep when it was exceptionally hot. Felt very safe in the neighborhood, a lot of DDash options super close and a WF right by to get all your groceries. We’d absolutely stay here again.
