The location was wonderful, a new part of town for us on the westside. We found the unit to be dark inside with several of the light fixtures not working. The manager was responsive but seemed to be on a tight budget.

We had a great stay with everything we needed close to the surf for a contest this weekend. Super easy walk to surf, maybe 7 minutes to the steps. The kitchen was actually stocked with useful items which I’ve found to be rare in some places. Super easy check in and great access to town. We’ll be back next year. Thank you.

Nice to walk to Steamer Lane to surf, eat at Steamer Supply, and great coffee and croissant at Shrine Coffee. The house is very efficient and comfortable with everything you need except maybe a full roll of paper towels and an extra roll of toilet paper so you don’t have to go to the store right away.

We were in town for a large sporting event and needed somewhere close to the event - that also serve as a relaxing home base. This place was perfect for that. There was space in the garage for our gear. The house was cool and quiet after a day in the sun. We were comfortable and we loved it.

Great little spot on West Cliff, right where you want to be. Only Lighthouse Field open space across the street and then the ocean so very quiet and serene. Clean living area downstairs and two great bedrooms upstairs, 1 with nice corner suite forest views and feels. Everything you need and nothing you don't! The front door lock and coded entry was a bit sticky but we got it figured out. Driveway reserved for your car was terrific. Thank you!

Location was wonderful and the place was nice and clean. It did miss a few essentials, like we didn’t have a dishwashing sponge nor any body wash in the bathroom like in other VRBOs. But there was laundry soap that smelled wonderful so I did my laundry 😊. I would note there is just 1 bathroom which can get tricky with 5-6 people but we made it work. Beds were comfy, had enough towels. We would stay here again. Nice little spot at a great location away from the craziness yet still walking distance to it. Thank you

It was a substandard experience. The description mentioned we needed to buy some supplies but the house did not provide anything that’s standard for vacation rentals. We had to buy tissues, kitchen towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. It would be a much better experience to provide your guests with the bare minimum instead of treating our experience as an expense. On top of that, the walls are paper thin. We can hear each other breathing in the other room. For the price of the stay, the build quality is not acceptable.

This was such a nicely situated place, right near the lighthouse, a park, and a small beach cove. The beds were also super comfy and the furnishing neutral. There are two big TVs. It's a bit dark, there is minimal outdoor space (small balcony upstairs but nothing much on the ground floor), and the dish ware is sort of random -- no small bowls, no wine glasses, no wine opener that we could find. It has a lot of kitchen essentials (coffee maker, grinder, toaster oven), but was short on some essential stuff and felt like a place where nobody with control over equipment has ever cooked dinner. We had trouble finding bedding for the pull-out couch. The layout is a bit strange -- there isn't a bathroom on the ground floor and it doesn't have any good indoor-outdoor spaces as you might expect in a beach town. It worked for our purposes, but wasn't a luxurious place to hang out.

We had such a great time at this property. Super close to everything if you want to get the Santa Cruz experience. We loved everything about it and will book again when we decided to go back. The heating and Air worked perfect, beds were super comfy. Nice big TVs so when you do spend time there you have your fix of your favorite shows and what not. Down side thou the down stairs sink didn’t seem to ever get warm water and we love being able to clean up after ourselves so, sadly, we left dishes in the dishwasher(we would of cleaned everything) plus side the shower was super hot(dang forgot to turn the temp down on water hearter.. just thinking about it, sorry) seriously thou it was great. I have no complaints. We worked around the cold water situation downstairs.. that was no biggie. The place was spotless when we got there. Everything was GREAT and on point. We can’t wait to go back when we have some more $. Everything in town is super expensive.. hadn’t been there in over 10 years + smh🤦‍♂️ We need to go more often

This home is located just across from paths winding through a little forest and field to the beautiful west cliff. We saw tons of birds! You can walk along the cliff or head down to the beach. The home has a lovely vibe with the essentials one needs to comfortably relax. We cooked as well as ate out at some of the local favorites. Will definitely keep this place on the list of places to stay in beautiful Santa Cruz!

This was a mother - son visit over spring break. The two bedrooms single bath worked very well for us. The unit was exceptionally clean: it clearly had been recently painted and the furniture appeared new. The stand-out feature was the height of the ceilings on the first floor which held a dining area laid out for 6, a full if not large kitchen, and a quite spacious living area. The ceiling looked to be 9-10’. It gave a much larger feel to the space. The master bedroom was nicely sized and had a sweet Juliet balcony with two chairs and a small table just large enough to play cards and get afternoon sun. And… the location is amazing. We will return again.

Diana and Shay’s house in Santa Cruz is in a spectacular location, just down the way from West Cliff Drive and around the bend from the Lighthouse and the famous surfing spot “Steamer Lane,” and yet it is in a quiet neighborhood and across the street from the Monarch butterfly preserve. The two bedroom house has spacious and beautiful living areas, lovely bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen that had everything that we needed to make a family Thanksgiving dinner! Diana was wonderful and so responsive to every question and concern. Diana and Shay were superb hosts, and we hope to return again soon. Thank you Diana and Shay!
