BAS Balcony Homestay

We liked being able to use shared facilities such as a kettle and outdoor table. The staff were so kind and helpful! The welcome drink and snack were absolutely delicious. The host allowed us to put some things in their fridge as the communal fridge wasn’t working. He was really informative about the ancient city in Anuradhapura and helped us to avoid paying for the 30USD ticket. Outstanding value for the price!

We weren’t informed in advance that there was an additional air conditioning charge of 500 LKR per night, but we were happy to pay as the accommodation was already so cheap. The bed was a bit hard and the bedding could have been improved by having a duvet. Although, overall it was a great a stay!

We had two very nice days at Bas Balcony. Our Host took care about us at any time. With his Tuktuk he brought us to the city, the bus station, to restaurants and did a privat temple Tour for us. He is a very kind and friendly guy and we felt very comfortable.

De prijs was oké.

De omgeving was heel luidruchtig en de kamers klein en oud. Daarnaast de ontsmetting tabletten die er vies roken. Voor de prijs was het een redelijk verblijf alleen hebben wij de ervaring dat voor dezelfde prijs er veel betere en schonere homestay’s zijn.
