Windermere offers an ideal base from which to explore the Lakes. How you do this is entirely up to you! Trains run regularly from the local station, just a short walk away. The much loved Lake Windermere steamers depart from nearby Bowness, another hugely popular Lakeland town. Very clean and well presented property in an excellent location allowing access to all local amenities within a 5 min walk, including some excellent coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The parking around the back of the property was tight as described but local on street parking was always available with minimal fuss. From the initial email right through to leaving the property the owners provided a first class service, we will certainly be recommending the property to our friends.

Cozy cottage located in the center of town, but set back enough from the traffic and noise. Very quite location. Furnished to a high standard and it is clean and comfortable. Parking was tight, but we did manage every day to get in the bay at the back of the cottage with no problem. Facilities were good. Some 'high touch' items have been removed, so make sure you pack an iron and hairdryer if you need one ! First time to the lakes, beautiful this time of the year. Check in and out were both very smooth, communication is excellent from both Tim and Kim. We would return and are happy to recommend to others.
