White Moss - a fabulous historic property with hot tub and cinema in a fantastic location.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Terraces, Windermere. White Moss Cottage was perfect for us, it was more spacious than we expected and easily accommodated 8 adults and 3 young children. It was very comfortable and warm it also had everything that we needed, everyone really enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain! The cottage had parking for at least 6 cars but if you’re arriving by train the station is just around the corner next to the excellent supermarket Booths. You will also find the many excellent independent shops, pubs and restaurants just a short walk from the cottage. In summary the location was fantastic, with plenty of walks and activities nearby. We would highly recommend The Terraces to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Windermere.

Perfect accommodation for all our family, children and grandchildren. This house has everything you need and is in a great location for exploring the Lake District. My only gripe would be that the bed pillows were not comfortable, very flat, but this did not impact our enjoyment of the house and the area.

The whole property was clean. 6 car parking slot. And very well equipped. Kitchen was full stocked with utensils. We will definitely come back and recommend anyone who wants to spend time in lakeside.

Eleven of us had a great weekend . The house offers everything you need . Lovely and clean , very comfortable. The beds were so comfy , we all slept really well . Loved the AGA cooker , made great toast on it . We enjoyed the hot tub , lovely temperature, and plastic glasses included for drinks of fizz. The location is excellent , we got the bus from Booths supermarket to the lake and enjoyed a sail to Ambleside where we had coffee & cake . There is a great bar not far from the house , very quirky and great fun . Some of our party enjoyed the walk and views up Orrest Head . In fact , there was something for everyone at White Moss. We had an outside caterer and a beautician come . Also enjoyed games in the sitting room in the evenings , and the cinema room is fabulous. Such great value for money . Everything was perfect , from booking and the easy to follow instructions about arriving and leaving , to parking , and all the facilities on offer. Would certainly recommend to anyone . We loved it .

Great stay, couple of niggly easily sorted things, ie broken shelf in one of the fridges, seal on hot tub lid. Absolutely brilliant for family get together and great price.would recommend to all. Also everyone in the other four properties on the terrace spoke to each other.

Fantastic house. Second time I have stayed in one of The Terrace houses and can’t wait to go back. Everything is brilliant and couldn’t pick a single fault.

We had THE BEST time at White Moss. The facilities were just perfect for our group. Can’t fault it at all. Would definitely recommend.

The houses were spotless when we arrived (we booked two, White Moss and Number One). Both were warm and welcoming. It was our third stay there and we loved it.

The cottage was so homely, it was clean on arrival. Details before checking were great didn’t need to contact anyone for anything. Hot tub was checked in the mornings. Town with lovely pubs was just a short walk away and we managed a lovely walk up orrest head in the snow! Andy the owner was lovely and contacted us on regards to the snow which was highly appreciated! All in all would definitely recommend as a place to stay in any season! We will definitely be returning!

Lovely cottage, well equipped and great location. Kids loved cinema room and hot tub. Enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay. Such a beautiful setting and a real treat. A perfect space for our hen do. We loved it and will be back again.

Had a really enjoyable stay. House was ideal for a party of 12 - a mix of adults and children (who loved the space in the house). Owners were friendly and helpful. Well positioned for the amenities in Windermere, the only slight negative was getting out onto the main road (particularly if you’re turning right!). Other than that, a great place to enjoy the Lakes.
