Upon arrival we were greeted by Donna, who gave us a tour. The house is nice and comfy. We felt like we were at home, everything we needed. We were traveling with our beagle and she had a bowl of water waiting just for him! The town is small, but definitely go to Cooks Beach where pets are allowed leash free. The Black Door had wonderful mexican food, Gualala Seafood Shack for fish, and Trinks for the most decadent desserts and coffee.

The place was spotless and clean. The owner was gracious and welcomed us and showed us around. There was an enclosed dog run for our dog, which was a great added bonus! The hot tub was wonderful and great for star gazing. It was quiet and wonderful just what we wanted. A great place to stay. Definitely would go back again and have recommended it to others!!

Quiet rural street in Anchor Bay with two homes (one is the owner) on large beautifully landscaped acreage. Private hot tub, nice deck with furniture, lots of space and light in the house, fully stocked and functional kitchen (all you need is food), open floor plan, heater works great, shower with good water pressure - really can't think of anything lacking. Great location for hiking on the Stornetta land trust near Pt Arena. We went two days in a row, out from one trailhead the first day and the other trailhead the next. Also very close to nice hike on Falcon Bluff.We stayed for 3 days and had a wonderful time. The owner is very nice and worth spending time with to chat.

My wife and I and our two dogs stayed for a few nights and we’re just thrilled with the comfy accommodations and the ease of communication with Donna. Our dogs felt right at home, and had a wonderful front lawn to lie in, a back dog run to do their business, and another small patio to hang out if they didn’t want to be in the house. These amenities made it so easy for us to be there and relax! Loved the hot tub too! Aaaahhhh!

Quiet, green property with a house that seems larger than the square footage would suggest. Elevated deck with hot tub and serenity. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay. Donna understands how to manage helpful guidance at the same time as allowing privacy. And we've never stayed at a place that is setup better for dogs. Nothing but good things to say about our stay.

My parents, partner, pup, and I loved our 2-night stay. We particularly loved the abundance of board games and reading materials, primary bathroom shower which makes you feel like you are showering in the forest, and balcony overlooking the forest with a peek of the ocean. Thank you Linda for all of the activity recommendations! The highlights were watching the sunset from behind Timber Cove lodge and walking along the cliffs at Salt Point SP.

My husband and I booked this cozy little cottage for our 45th wedding anniversary. It was in a perfect location for what we wanted to do with easy access to beach walks and was on a quiet road for relaxing. Donna was a sweetheart and met us when we arrived to give a tour and make sure we had what we wanted. The inside space was very comfortable but we spent most of our time on the back deck taking in the sound of the ocean and the smell of the flowers in bloom. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay in Anchor Bay. The cottage is clean, comfortable and spacious. The living area is filled with light, and the kitchen is adequately stocked with what you need. Main bed is comfortable. We didn’t use second bedroom. The deck with hot tub were the perfect place to relax. The owner, Donna, is very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had a great time and having our dog with us is always a plus. We definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.

This is a quaint cottage located on a quiet street near beaches. The living area is spacious with plenty of seating and places to relax. The kitchen is cute and functional. Donna is an amazing host! She greeted us with a warm welcome, as well as all 3 of our dogs, gave us a tour around the property home, and made us feel welcome from the very start. Our dogs enjoyed roaming the property to investigate. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean nearby, the sea lions barking, the beautiful night sky and the hot tub. This quiet little get away was just what we needed, and we can't wait to return!

We needed to unplug, and over rainy New Years weekend, we stayed here and were in Bliss. It’s a well-maintained, clean home with cozy wood paneling, spacious main room, 2 big lounge chairs, highly functional kitchen, comfortable bed, gorgeous property that is within earshot of the ocean, and it has a wonderful hot tub! In fact, we spent one whole drizzling day in it! Donna keeps the hot tub sparkling clean, too. The host is very helpful, but not intrusive. There are stunning beaches and walks within a short drive. The place has solitude, fresh air, amazing night sky, wildlife, and personality! For those of us who find hotel spaces bland and cold, for those of us who want to return to a kinder, gentler style of relaxation, this is the place for us.

While not immediately on the water, the property is close enough that you can catch sight of it, as well as hear the waves crashing and sea lions in the evening hours. The property and cottage have great energy and a quaint, comfort to them that is very welcoming. The host was exceptionally accommodating and kind. She also gave the best recommendations for dog friendly beaches where my pup and I essentially had to ourselves with at most 3-4 other people and pets present at different times throughout the entire day. Maybe my visit was during an off-season or the stars aligned, but having empty beaches like that was a true gift. The stars at night are incredible - the Milky Way is quite literally visible from the back deck and the hot tub is makes for the perfect place to relax and stargaze from. Close to great dining and other activities as well. Would very much recommend.

I remember watching tv shows as a kid, when family’s go off to visit family in the country and end up having such a great time doing things that are so different from what they are used to. Apparently that’s real! My boys 5 & 7 have become somewhat addicted to tablets and tv thanks to the pandemic, but when they arrived they say the gorgeous tree in the front yard. The fell in love and started climbing and playing on it. It reminded me of the Giving Tree minus the sad ending. They loved the front yard and all the space to run and play. We had breakfast on the deck every morning and saw so many birds. Donna has a beautiful garden and it’s so peaceful admiring all the lovely flowers and watching the many humming birds drink nectar. One night in the hot tub I was gazing at the starts and saw a shooting star. This was a memorable and peaceful adventure. Donna was a very knowledgeable and nice woman. She gave us recommendations on places to eat and history on the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay Donna. Will definitely be coming back. Beds were comfortable and hose had all the essentials.
