About this house rental
Our lovely beach house perches high in the tree tops with serene mountain and forest views. Sip your morning coffee while viewing wildlife and birds on the wrap around balcony. Relax in the evening in front of a roaring fire in our cozy high vaulted ceiling cabin with hardwood floors throughout the house.
We offer free wireless internet, a flat-screen HDTV with free Netflix and Apple+ streaming and an assortment of games and books. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and an assortment of condiments and teas.
The master bedroom suite comes with a large attached master bath complete with jacuzzi tub. Both bedrooms are fully appointed with comfortable queen-sized beds, quality mattresses, and premium linens. We provide quality eco/friendly soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Stroll our beautiful private beach: You will have access to our community's private beach with over 5 miles of beautiful sandy beach for long strolls, surf fishing and exploring tide pools. The beach is a 12 minute walk or can be accessed by a 4 min car ride with our electronic gate pass. You can also explore and stroll around the nearby Irish Beach pond, a short walk from the house.
Please note there is a short steep driveway to the house and one flight of stairs into the house (first level is garage).

We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Tree House. The accommodations were very comfortable for my husband and I and our small dog. Proximity to Irish Beach was just a short drive, however the road down to the beach was an incredibly steep one way road with sharp curves which was a bit intimidating! The beach was lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well organized. The barbecue grill worked nicely. There was lots of interesting wildlife visible from the deck. We saw many types of birds, a number of deer and a small gray fox. The birds loved to come to the bird feeder as soon as we put a scoop of bird seed it.

My son and I had a lovely stay here a few weeks ago. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The family room, with dining table, has large windows and sliding doors looking out to the wilderness on one side and the forest and a bit of ocean on the other. The deck wraps around those two sides, also. We enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the smaller acorn woodpeckers intimidate the blue jays into flying away when the woodpeckers were ready to eat The bedrooms were very spacious and included space heaters for the chilly early mornings. Both bathrooms had an in-wall heater—pure luxury! Some of the things we enjoyed doing from this home base:-going to the community’s private beach barely a 5 min drive away. There is so much beautiful driftwood and the ocean is so dramatic. If you are new to the area, as we were, bundle up even more for the beaches. We were comfortable in pants and tshirts otherwise, but the wind really drops the temp at the water. A puffy jacket or a few layers, maybe even a winter hat, wouldn’t go amiss.-lunch and walking around in Mendocino-the glass beach at Fort Bragg-we were booked to ride horses along the beach, but we had a health incident that caused us to have to leave before we could do that. We used the recommended company in the teal notebook/binder.

Set in the hills above Irish Beach, the house feels like you're living in the trees. If you lay out some bird seed in the feeder on the veranda, Woodpeckers and Stellers Jays will gather to eat (not at the same time, though). The home is lovely and comfortable.
