The house itself needs some maintenance and updating. We we there for a week and went out to eat for only one lunch. The pots and pans are old and nasty looking or slim pickings. There are plenty of sheets but the comforters need to be replaced. The one in the back bedroom looks pretty dirty. This was our third time staying at this property. As I said at the beginning the view can’t be beat.

Reviewer Comments: It starts with arrival, get keys and a new fantastic wine-J Dusi-2020 Model M-(we bought 5 cases)-Then Jackie is called over to explain the "dueling TV remotes" to the most gadget challenged man in the State...note:one of several trips but she was always patient and friendly.Next the 2 window washers showed up on time and did a perfect job on all the windows...after all why rent the place if the view is cloudy ?Mid-stay the housekeeper arrived on time, with a big smile and when we returned, she made the house look like a jewel box.Everybody in the office was 100% professional, friendly and responded to whatever we needed & the response was always done quickly.ALL IN ALL AN A+ for everyone--what a pleasure to deal with people with that level of competence and professionalism.WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!

We cooked all seven days so I would suggest the kitchen could use some new pans, glasses, and silverware. Also my husband uses a walker so grap bars in the shower and by the toilet would have been helpful. The house was clean and very close to town.

Fantastic location. Furnished nicely. We were there for a weekend wedding so didn’t get to enjoy The beach house as much as we would’ve liked. We would like to rent again sometime for a longer stay.

The location is 5 stars, the house is 5 stars, the view is 5 stars, the kitchen is 5 stars. The only cons: 1. we ran out of propane the last day. 2. I think the cleaners should spend more time on the exterior of the windows. We had to clean them ourselves, but still worth it for the view.

Truly love the location but, unfortunately over the last 5 years of us going there has been no upkeep, maintenance or upgrades! There is a HUGE need for some work to be done inside. All the vent registers had black blown out of them on the ceiling. The guest bathroom was missing half the towel rack leaving a potential to run into it and cause bodily harm. The bathtub had rust throughout it. The fireplace was not working. All the baseboards need painting. The kitchen is disorganized and missing essential pieces, like a cookie sheet. There was dried food on the placemats, dishes & utensils. The linens, pillows & bedding have not been replaced over the entire 5 years. Highly suggest booking out some time to do some maintenance.

We had a wonderful time but two of the three of us experienced difficulty with the perfumed bedding. Personally, I had to sleep on the couch. Also, there were no shampoo products in any of the three bathrooms.

Absolute beach front property with the beach at your door step. The house is a little older and could do with some cosmetic updates however the location is second to none. Cannot be beaten. Million dollar views. The house is comfortable and functional with views that take your breath away. We will book again.

And, I don’t want to have to go shopping once I arrive at the rental. Give me a coffee filter for coffee in the morning over a bottle of inexpensive wine. Many of the kitchen drawer hardware was worn, making the drawers very difficult to open and close. Replace the drawer hardware. The duvet cover had someone else’ hair on it, as if it had not been washed before our arrival. White towels were a bit dingy - use some bleach or get some new towels. The electrical system has as short in it somewhere. When the heater would kick-on, the lights would flash and dim in the house. Many light bulbs were burned out in the house, including one in living room ceiling, one under kitchen cabinet to left of sink. The table lamp is a 3-way light bulb with a on/off bulb in the lamp. The house needs TLC, painting, & deep cleaning. The dryer vent was clogged (told us at check-in a service person was coming in two days - would not give a refund of any sort for lack of dryer use.). When service man came to service dryer, he found that exterior dryer vent was completely clogged with 1’ x 1’ x 1.5” thick sheet of dryer lint - a fire waiting to happen. Towel bar in first guest bath rigged to wall - not functioning. Heating ducts all dirty as if there was a fire in system. Television remote control batteries went out without replacements available. House lacking a cookie sheet, s & p, light under microwave (and only light at stove) burned out. Visited this house with friends last October and reported this issue then; light still not replaced above stove/below microwave. Shelf under master sinks hasn't been dusted in months. Ice maker makes a horrible noise when making ice, paid $25 for misc. hh supplies in expenive rental - doesn’t work for me - doesn’t compute. View is great. Give me coffee filters over wine; do a maj

This beach home is such a lovely rental right on the beach. The house and location couldn’t be better. The property is beautifully maintained and the decor is fresh and well done. The kitchen is well appointed, but I will bring my own frying pans next time we rent. Love listening to the sound of the waves as I fall asleep! Also, if you love seafood, a trip to Giovanni’s in Morro Bay is a must. Giovanni’s is a premier fish market, you won’t be disappointed. We bring the ingredients back to the rental kitchen and prepare Cioppino. This is our tradition for day 2 in Cambria. The Cookie Crock market in Cambria will have any missing ingredients for the dish; a very nice grocery store. Pick up a baguette at the French bakery and you have a great meal, with a glass of wine. Next days are sightseeing and shopping, with lunch and dinner in the local restaurants. We rented this house twice, and plan on coming back again. Love Cambria!

The location of this house is fabulous. Right at the shore with easy access to the water. Conveniently close to town but far enough away to avoid traffic and noise. The house could use some sprucing up - definitely has wear and tear. Also, for the price, the bed linens should be much nicer (the thin sheets and polyester blankets were disappointing). The kitchen is fairly well appointed, but it would be great to have a cabinet for food storage, especially when staying more than a few days. For those of us who love to cook, and bring our own food, its frustrating to not have anyplace to put it.

Had a wonderful time! Loved the proximity to and sound of the ocean.
