About this house rental

Once you park your car you will never get back in it! This home is located on a quiet street in the heart of Capitola Village and is only steps from the beach, quaint shops, great restaurants, breath taking views, and all the live music and libations one could ask for.

This cozy home has one bedroom with a double bed. A queen size convertible couch is in the living room. The loft with skylight is a great place for the kids with their own T.V. There is also a double sized bed.

Everything is remodeled and freshly painted with new quality linens and towels. The many windows and new screen door keep everything airy and bright. If you prefer to stay in there is a complete modern kitchen.

We pay attention to every detail in hopes of providing you with a fun and comfortable place to stay. Come see for yourself why Capitola is one of California's most popular coastal cities.

There is a three day minimum on holiday weekends.

I was very disappointed in the parking , your onsite parking was always full and the offsite parking was also full . Drove in circles for a 1/2 hour to find parking . Stated it was a 2 bedroom , with the picture showing a loft . The ladder going up to the loft is dangerous . It was difficult to climb up and you could never bring your luggage up .

This cute home in the heart of the village is perfect for a couple or small family. It is well equipped and very cozy. The bed is comfortable and the sheets are soft, unlike so many hotels! The house is extremely clean and our hosts were kind and easy to work with. Instructions were very clear and the small touches they added made our stay feel extra special. We will definitely book again.

Stayed 3 nights and never feft Capitola. Took our 2 adn 5 year old girls to the beach every day. Got lucky upon arriving to get a spot in front of the rental. The place is fine but the full size bed barely fits in the bedroom. Cannot beat the location though.

The beach house is cozy and faces the old architecture as you exit. Its on a fairly quite street with pleanty of windows to let in the breeze and so near the beach. There are wonderful eateries and shopping. The cottage had thoughtful features such as the most comfortable bed and softest sheets, saltwater taffy on the coffee table, television if thats your thing, its our thing to wind down from the day. Its darling clean and the host is so wonderful. When we visit again, we wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else! This home is perfectly located for anyone that wants to enjoy Capitola, and the Santa Cruz area. Aside from its terrific location, this house had all the amenities to make you feel comfortable and at home. It was also great to have the parking pass, which allowed on-street or garage parking, as it can be very difficult these days to find parking in Capitola. We would do it all over again if returning to Capitola.

We arrived on Thursday and drove the Shadowbrook for dinner. Could have walked! Drove to Gayle's Bakery one morning which was amazing. The bed is a full size, there is no dishwasher, nowhere to put luggage. We didn't spend much time there, but it is well appointed and comfortable. I did not attempt the stairs into the loft, but my sister in law said their kids loved it up there. It was good for my husband and I. It was a busy weekend in capitola. Parking was a bit stressful, but was ok. We never had to walk very far. It was nice and cool so house was perfect temperature with the fan. Host was very welcoming and we had no issues. Everything was good!

Myself and two daughters headed to Capitola for a last minute getaway. My youngest was just home after 3yrs away in Okinawa in the Navy. Her leave was approved last minute - and this was her birthday (after 4away from us!). We were going further north but after the storms felt we would come back to Capitola to give one of our favorite places some love! Shelly was quick and easy to work with and we were delighted to get somewhere that fit us, in the village at such short notice! Everything was just what was needed. Such a well positioned base for five sunny beach days. The cottage was so clean, had all we needed and was just perfect for our week. The kitchen was well stocked - even a waffle maker! (No kettle for this Scottish mother! But with all else we cannot complain about that!) We had a little problem but Shelly was so gracious to us and accepting! Shelly was quick to respond, and at the same time gave us room to enjoy. She messaged to say our checkin and out times were flexible as her cleaning crew times allowed us more time. Really great stay and made great memories

The condo was well stocked and had top notch appliances and kitchenware. We would highly recommend this property. The condo was a stones throw away from everything …. Shopping , restaurants and the beach. Like Shelly said. Literally park your car and never drive till you leave. First time in Capitola but not the last. You have to make Shadowbrook Restaurant a goal to eat at. We did … 2 nites in a row. This property got an A++++ grade from us. We’ll be definetly coming back to Capitola and Staying at this property. Walking distance from town shopping and beaches, and access to bike trails, Santa Cruz and close to freeway this little hideaway is perfect for a couple and small family. Although it advertises for 4, the loft space is high and small. There is no outdoor space in this beach bungalow. The kitchen was well stocked, sofa bed seemed comfortable, and whole house was spotless. The owner was quick to respond to all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable and relaxing one in this very special town.

We had an amazing stay at Shelly’s little place in capitola. Clean, perfect location, everything you needed for cooking or block walk to restaurants and coffee. Quiet area for being so close to the happening village of capitola. We had our 1 year old and us. It was a bit hot in the house for sleeping but they have lots of fans. Easy check in and out, great communication and she made our stay feel special with no rush to get out on a Sunday. Thank you for letting us stay Shelly!
