Would love to stay again

Everything in the room was perfect. Clean, equipped, comfortable. The location just off the main square is ideal for anyone who wants to go out.

The hallways smelled badly of grease and food as the restaurant downstairs often left their kitchen door (that connects to the hallway) open — yuck. But inside the room, I didn't smell it.

Parking options are terrible, and the recommendation is a parking for 24€ a day which is simply too high for Saarbrücken. Stopping to unload the car is possible only between 6am and noon. Otherwise walking distance to the next option is 100-300m depending on luck. The soap was empty and when I reached out to get fresh one, nobody replied under the given number. Also, one should be aware the apartment is right above restaurants and next to the main square and with the older windows, the noise level of the city and market place is relatively high also during the week until at least 11pm. The staircase is very tiny and I believe the information was given at the online check in (when I was for instance already on the way).

Very good

The boarding house has an excellent location just off of St. Johanner Markt - Saarbrücken's main square. Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof is a 10 - 15 minute walk straight along Bahnhofstraße, which connects the station with St. Johanner Markt. My apartment was spotlessly clean and very modern; the shower was excellent. The free bottle of sparkling water awaiting me in the fridge upon my arrival was hugely appreciated. In spite of the negatives I mentioned here, I would gladly stay again, though perhaps in the winter once the heat of summer has gone!

Bear in mind that the s'Johanner has two properties. Check in is automated via the s'Johanner website, through which you can gain your access code for the entrance door and your apartment's door. Using the code that I had been allocated, I was able to gain access to the wrong property; it was only after having climbed three or four flights of stairs that I discovered my apartment was not actually in that particular building. The s'Johanner wifi kept dropping out for me, so I had to constantly switch between that and the Saarbrücken free city wifi as provided by the local authority. Although I had no use for the large flat screen television during my stay, I did note that there did not appear to be a remote control for the TV anywhere in the apartment. Possibly you have to request it from the proprietor? The worse negative of all was the fact that there was no air conditioning nor fan provided. The room was stiflingly hot every single night in the heat of August. I really struggled to sleep throughout my six night stay. I urge that this issue should be rectified ASAP.

Very good

The place was very clean and well maintained. Furniture looked new. Location is perfect - right in the center, but since the room faces the side street, it was very quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped.

The apartment is on top of a restaurant, so the entrance has the "restaurant kitchen" smell (i.e. greasy). Same when you open one of the windows. The smell was not very pleasant. I also didn't particularly like the bed, it was too soft and didn't have enough support.

Comfort in the center of Saarbrücken

Great location in St John's Market; large comfortable main room; large windows, bathroom, and kitchen. Free and easily accessible washing machine is a big plus. Very economical. Friendly and nice staff.

Bumpy check in. Spotty WiFi. Upper floor room requires windows to be open to cool the room in warm weather. But being above a popular restaurant, street noise and conversation are loud until very late with an open window. A room fan would help. The kitchen is well appointed but a microwave would be convenient.

Perfekt wie immer

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da. Sehr gute Lage liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Sehr sauber. Man ist da in Saarbrücken mitten im Geschehen. Ist somit natürlich nicht unbedingt super ruhig. Das war aber genau das was wir wollten. Mitten drin sein. Da ist immer was los. Wer die absolute Ruhe sucht, ist hier mit Sicherheit verkehrt Wir kommen wieder.

Die Lage war nicht zu toppen. Leider ging bei der Buchung nicht hervor,dass es sich um einen einzigen Raum handelt,also kein abgeschlossenes Schlafzimmer vorhanden war. Ein upgrade war nicht möglich...

Sehr schöne Wohnung, gut ausgestattet (auch die Miniküche)! Sehr zentrale Lage. Ankommen und zu Hause fühlen. Parkhäuser im nahen Umfeld.

Der Transport von Koffern oder Einkäufen ist recht mühsam über steile und schmale Treppe - aber das war uns bekannt und stellte für uns kein Problem dar. Auch die zentrale Lage mit den zu erwartenden Geräuschkulissen war uns bewusst und störte uns nicht!

Die Lage ist super, direkt am Platz des Geschehens, wenn man am Wochenende gerne rausgeht, um etwas zu trinken, zu essen und Spaß zu haben.

Man kann den Raum nicht wirklich verdunkeln, so dass es morgens sehr schnell sehr hell ist.

Einrichtung, Größe des Appartements ist sehr angenehm. Die Lage perfekt 👌

-Der Haupteingang bzw. die Tür ist total klebrig und könnte auch mal gereinigt werden. -Der Duschvorhang klebt ständig beim Duschen an einem und der Wasserdruck beim Duschen ist besonders bei der Haarwäsche eben eher schwach

Bien pour un court séjour dans le centre de Sarebrucken

Situation en centre-ville . Salle de bain et cuisine modernes et pratiques.

Accès partagé avec restaurant: couloir encombré et odeurs . L’appartement sous les toits n‘est pas pratique: tout juste 1.60 m (!) sous les poutres. Les velux sont anciens et isolent peu des bruits de la rue.
