Four Sisters Ranch Cabin is nestled in the Texas Hill Country at 1848 Lemond Rd. about 7 miles from Utopia, Texas. The location is between Lost Maples State Natural Area and Garner State Park! We invite you to enjoy our ranch cabin and hike, bike and explore 500 acres of a working family ranch.
Sip your coffee on the back porch with a fantastic view. This is a perfect place to unwind, make s’mores around the fire pit, star-gaze, enjoy the fresh country air and escape the stresses of the city.
You can enjoy the sounds of nature, wildlife and a beautiful night sky. You may see a variety of wildlife from the porch including deer, turkey, wild hogs and hummingbirds. Fire Flies are often seen during the summer months.
Located 90 mi NW of San Antonio and 7 mi from Utopia, the cabin is 15 miles from Lost Maples State Natural Area and 23 miles from Garner State Park. The Hill Country State Natural Area is about 45 miles away.
Our curvy, scenic roads boast fantastic hill country views. Local activities: Golf in Utopia (the setting for the movie 7 Days in Utopia). Go swimming at Utopia Park on the Sabinal River, Float the Frio River. Hike at Garner Park. Go birding at Lost Maple Park. Gaze at the stars. Photograph the picturesque hill country views. BBQ on the patio. Visit Lost Maples winery. The Texas hill country is a wonderful year around birding & wildlife viewing destination! We are in one of the best areas of Texas to see the Golden Cheeked Warbler, Black Capped Vireo, Vermilion Flycatcher and more!
Dine at The Laurel Tree in Utopia (requires a reservation) and Mac & Ernies in Tarpley for a fantastic dining experience! Utopia has several cafes and sometimes great BBQ on Saturdays at Big Ern's.
The nearest airport is in San Antonio (~1.5 hr drive). Austin is an ~ 3 hour drive.
Other Things to Note; For major holidays, a three night minimum is required. We might consider a one night booking. Send us an inquiry.
Utopia is a very small community with a general store, bank, gas station, cafes and a few shops. Limited groceries are available at the general store. The nearest large grocery store and hospital is 45 miles ( Hondo, Kerrville or Uvalde). Cell phone service is very limited, only AT&T works and it is spotty.
You can also rent Kat's Kabin #913458 if you would like to bring another family with you. It is about .2 miles away.
Although the cabin is secluded, you may hear the family gathering nearby sometimes in the summer and on holidays.
Our cabin sleeps 4 on two queen beds. No more than four people and one dog are allowed unless you have prior approval by the owner. There is a full kitchen and bath. There is a Smart TV so bring your passwords for Netflex, etc. We have internet! There is a large porch on the front and back of the cabin where you can relax and watch the wildlife come to the feeder.
Note: Since the cabin is one large room, it is not suitable for young children who need a separate place to nap. Our porches do not have rails so we are not an ideal place for toddlers.
If you want to visit the State parks you must make a reservation online 30 days in advance.
GPS is not always accurate once you get on LeMond Rd. Take Hwy 187 north from Utopia. In 3 miles go left on West Sabinal Rd. Continue until you get to Lemond Rd. Take a left on Lemond and continue (passing through 4 cattleguards) until you get to 1848. There is a rock sign on your right. Follow the Four Sisters Ranch signs at the turns.

Very nice accommodations. Ample wildlife that you can sit on the back porch and enjoy. The hummingbirds are spectacular. Would highly recommend this Property to friends and family.

This place is perfect. The cabin is arranged practically, brimming with nostalgia, history and rustic charm. The two queen beds were clean and VERY comfortable. Water pressure was amazing and the hot water was hot! Since it was late March, we alternated between heat and A/C with no problems. But what impressed us most was the physical setting which is gorgeous. The owners have clearly invested lots of patience, thought and time in cultivating the natural wildlife habitat that surrounds the cabin. No fewer than 12 hummingbirds were jockeying for position at the feeder on the porch literal feet from where we were sitting the first evening we were there. We counted quail, dove, starlings, cardinals, robins, blue jays, scissor tails, wrens and finches. And the morning we were leaving, all that PLUS four HUGE tom turkeys feet off the porch, with plumage on full display trying to get the attention of some hens much more interested in scratching for seed than they were the strutting toms. Like... completely ignored them. While all that was going on, down in the pasture that rolls gently down from the cabin, about six deer were passing through and just walked through the back yard, paying more attention to the toms' performance than the hens. That doesn't just happen without intentional care. If solitude, nature and the funky quirks to be found in the Texas Hill Country are your vibe, this place is your jam.

Our stay at Four Sisters Ranch in Utopia was truly unforgettable. This is hands down the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had.You can tell the host has put an incredible amount of thought and care into every detail. From the creative touches designed to attract wildlife to the spotless condition of the cabin and fresh lemon blueberry bread, everything felt fresh and welcoming. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect place to unwind.One of the highlights of our stay was the wildlife. We saw so many animals right from the cabin and deck! We originally planned to spend our time hiking, but the cabin and the deck were so peaceful and inviting that we ended up just relaxing there and taking it all in. Sitting outside watching the wildlife and enjoying the quiet Hill Country setting turned out to be the best possible way to spend our time.The ranch itself is also fun to explore. There are several interesting things to see as you walk around the property and the history of the ranch, which adds another layer to the experience.The location is fantastic as well. It’s easy to get to several charming little towns with great restaurants and shops, and it’s close to some of the best state parks and natural areas in the area.If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings, thoughtful hospitality, and abundant wildlife, this place is truly special. We can’t wait to return. 🦌

We absolutely loved our get away and time at the Four Sisters Cabin! Ms. Kathleen was so kind and helpful! Staying here was the best decision and we are so glad we found them! Just staying and touring the ranch was so fun and relaxing!
