About this cabin rental
Come enjoy the peace and quiet of the Texas Hill Country, while relaxing in the cool waters of the Dry Frio River. This cabin is nestled under a canopy of live oak trees and just a short walk to the river. The Dry Frio River gets its name from the fact that the spring fed river meanders under the rocks at times, giving the appearance of a dry creek bed. This means the water is always cold, even in the hot summer months!
The air conditioned cabin has a simple, rustic feeling. The family room has high ceilings with comfy leather sofa and loveseat. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of cookware. The cozy master bedroom has a stone fireplace and a queen-size bed, with room for a portable crib if needed. The spacious bathroom has a lovely clawfoot bathtub/shower. There is loft area with two full-size beds and a beautiful view of the huge live oak trees.
Outside there is ample seating on the covered porch and around the fire-pit. A charcoal grill is available for those outdoor cook-outs. Just down the road, a short walk, is a community park area with a covered pavilion and outdoor activities. Wi-Fi is also available at the park area.
This is a great place for star gazing, hiking, fishing, swimming, nature watching, unwinding and making memories.
***This is the Texas Hill Country, complete with all the critters, big and small. Please bring appropriate protection, (bug spray, water shoes, hats, sunscreen, etc) to ensure you have a safe trip. Remember to respect the land, water, animals, and the people who reside here, but most of all enjoy the simple peace and quiet it has to offer.

I would honestly take my family there again . The only thing is the bedroom was not to pleasant it was hot up there .

Great place to disconnect, unwind and enjoy the Dry Frio River. Sit in the small wading pools, build a fire for smores under the nights sky. Stayed here with my family and we will be back.

Very quiet and relaxing. It was nice not having cell service and being able to truly get away for the weekend. We were able to see lightning bugs at night down by the creek, I have not seen those in about 30 years, so we really enjoyed that.

The location was perfect. Loved being so close to the swimming hole.Some things we were not pleased with was the cleanliness. Dishes were dirty. One of the pans literally had a 1/4" layer of grease on it. The porch area had not been swept or cleaned. The pictured chairs and swimming gear in the loft above the patio were broken and dirty. We feel that the prep for incoming guests could use some improvement, such as... Plug in all appliances so that we are not trying to figure out why lamps and patio lights are not working. Turn the refrigerator up so that our groceries are not in jeopardy of spoiling. We had to put our milk in an ice chest because the fridge did not get to temp until the morning. The firepit had not been cleaned out and we were not prepared to clean it so that we could have a fire. The BBQ grills are old and dirty. Unusable. On our last day we started to experience some septic issues where the toilet would not flush and we had to plunge it after each use. Update some of the electronics such as the TV. The property is up for sale and we feel that the TLC that should be shown in the property is not there due to the fact that it is for sale.
