About this house rental

If you truly want the view, Ocean Bay Cottage is your spot. This great little cabin with southern exposure and a big deck is situated with perfect views of the ocean, and mouth of the Yachats River. Relax on the deck while enjoying the sunrise/sunset. Views change every six hours because you're sitting right at the tide line. At low tide you will see life unfold before you on the beach, including resident eagles, herons, and seals. At high tide the same view will provide breaking waves as well as the migration of hump back whales during the spring and fall months.

This CLASSIC beach cabin has two bedrooms and one bath.

Amenities include a fully furnished kitchen, ocean view living room and dining room, HDTV/ DVD Player, Wifi, FM tuner with iPod cable. Be sure to check out our latest addition: a recently added mural painted by Oregon muralist Corie Hinton. It is a visual treat waiting for you when you open the kitchen door.

Ocean Bay Cottage is right in town so you can walk everywhere, including at least four different eateries that are less than three blocks away, as well as groceries, fun shops and the Yachats Commons. The Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center is right next to the grocery store, so stop in for a chat about local attractions. The Yachats area is plentiful with scenic areas and hiking trails to enjoy.

Cute upgraded kitchen/living/dining area. Patio and view of ocean/inlet gorgeous. Disappointed in bedrooms esp#2 really? Locked closet, various tv type trays to set down my suitcase; no chest of drawer..washer dryer unit in bedroom seems to have run over onto carpet in the past..very old carpet, but maybe owner plans to slowly remodel.Love the town and especially The Drift. Great burgers and pizza!Neighbors have 3 huge dogs which use their front deck as a toilet. They hose it off between the houses, but you cant always choose your neighbors.1st time ever been to a rental with no free coffee! Thankfully Yachats has one driveup.

We had a wonderful stay here! The cottage is comfortable and cozy with a nicely redone kitchen and bathroom. The location is amazing: close to stores and restaurants in Yachats and right on the 804 trail. Cape Perpetua is only a very short drive away. And, as the pictures show, the views are outstanding! We hope to stay here again!

We had an amazing 3 nights in yachats enjoying the beautiful ocean. The beach house is located across from the sand dune/ocean. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed eating out on the deck morning and night. We also had fun watching wales from the deck. The place is a bit small, but for just the two of us, it was perfect. Since we are used to sleeping in a king bed, the place only offered 2 queen bedrooms which were a bit tight, but we each had our own room which was nice. There wasn't a reason we needed to spend much time in the rooms since all we wanted to do was sit in the front room or on the front deck. Can't get much closer to the water than this place. Also it's a quiet neighborhood, but so close to downtown, which we walked to to get groceries. Had dinner twice at Luna's fish house. The best! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Thank you for an amazing relaxing time! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! It was just the right size for my small family of 4 with an amazing location to walk to the lookout, farmers market and many cute shops. It was a short drive to the beach entrance. We saw amazing sunsets and even a seal. The house had everything we needed.

The highlight here is the location, overlooking the Yachats River flowing in the Pacific, and minutes from Cape Perpetua, Thors Well, etc. It's got the most beautiful view I've ever had on vacation. And a lovely beach to play on to boot. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the charming accomodations. A cozy and comfortable fit for my family of four, with all the amenities you need. The neighbors are welcoming and the town is so charming. We will be back ASAP!

The view from the front windows and deck of this property were nothing short of spectacular! We loved getting up in the morning and watching the waves lap on the shore. The amenities of the house were fine. It was rustic. The kitchen is nice and redone with new appliances. The oven did smell like fish had previously been cooked in it when we used it and the bedrooms were basic and a bit cramped, especially in the bedroom with the washer and dryer in it. But, overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Upon arrival to this quaint house we were happy to be able to park right in the property. Easy access into the house and we were greeted with a clean, nice smelling home. The kitchen was upgraded and information about the rules and property were easy to find. Rooms were lovely. The view was so stunning it took our breath away. What a beautiful home. We loved location and house, which was clean and well equipped. The only problem was that we were notified by voicemail that the washer/dryer didn’t work. (Quite a disappointment at a beach location!). No apology, no effort to offset inconvenience with discount or other laundry access. They didn’t make the unit break, but they certainly could have handled it with more consideration.

This is my second stay in this unique two bedroom home that is perfectly located so that once I arrive my car never moves again. Perfect spot to walk to restaurants or down to the park to watch the sunset or continue on the 804.The views from the front room and deck are amazing. The couch in the front room perfectly placed so that when reading, knitting, etc..one only needs to look up and out to see the river and ocean. The small kitchen reminds me of my childhood, no frills but everything I need. Plus the right size coffee mugs. This house is well maintained and cared for. I look forward to a third visit.

This place was so cute and very close to anything you might want to walk to. Loved the view and comfy couch too! The kitchen is pretty dated but we found everything we needed. It was really hard to find at night as no light was on and you can only see the address with the light so I suggest trying to check in before it gets dark

Thr location and view were great-- We were able to walk to the 894 trail and all the local amenities, so just left our vehicle in the driveway the whole time.

This is our 4th or 5th time time to stay at this location, we love it so much. It only has 2 bedrooms so its not for all travellers, and has two short sets of stairs to get to the porch/front door (5-7 steps each). But the windows have a fantastic view of the bay, it is only 2 blocks to a great small park with rock/ocean interactions, and only a few blocks from at least 5 great restaurant options. Try the BBQ place, it is fantastic!
