It’s definitely one of Hakone’s hidden gems. Just around the corner is Nobu’s new restaurant, and the open air museum is approximately 30 minutes away on foot. The owner is really nice and loves her dog. She packed my breakfast for takeaway upon my request. You get 1 hour of the private onsen usage per day. Make sure not to use any bubbles or the likes inside!
I would bump my head every time I climbed the mezzanine xD

Location is amazing, staff is very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was very tasty and balanced. Also the onsen is very good even tho relatively small.
Would have appreciated a washer/dryer considering the heavy rain, but I didn't ruin the stay for sure.

We were given a double floor bedroom which was not appropriate as we are two elderly who had to climb up toour bed upstair as the steps were quite steep.
not many amenities in the area except for a veg rest and a small western eatery.
