The location & home was lovely. The owner communicated well. The property could stand to use some reorganization / decluttering of cabinets & drawers in the kitchen. We bought groceries & had nowhere to put them, b/c every cabinet was full. Other than that, no complaints!

Great location! Pretty porch, fun swing, well made steps down to the water. We kayaked daily. A great view of the dam is easily kayakable, and so is a Sandy beach that is cordoned off for swimming. Kitchen was large and I liked the island area the best. Generously sized appliances and driveway. Lake was totally swim-in-able near the shoreline—not fast moving.

We enjoyed our trip to the cabin. Our stay was in early fall, so the lake was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was clean and furnished with everything we needed. We loved watching the deer in the yard every morning and the quiet location. The lake access was clean and a fairly easy walk. We have and will continue to recommend this property to others.

Overall, the cabin was clean and well-situated. The only drawbacks were the lack of WiFi and the small mattresses. (I have a hard time believing those were Queen-sized?) But that back porch was amazing! Throw in a little rain and a good book, and I can forgive just about anything!!

Our family had a wonderful visit at this cabin. The location wasn't hard to find. Just make sure and pay attention to the directions the owner gives when finding the driveway. As a man I didn't read them very clearly the first time, and I went one driveway too far. The drive into Heber Springs is very quick so if you forget something it isn't a big deal. They have a smaller Walmart that has everything you need. We cooked most evenings, but we did grab take-out a couple of times from some local places. The lake was extremely close. The walk does get a little steep and rocky towards the end. However, I broke my ankle the first weekend in June, and I was able to make it fine by just taking it slow. I would recommend the cabin to anyone that I know, which means I recommend it to anyone reading this review as well.

This was a neat place with great location. Only complaint is the lights go off at 10PM automatically. I did not want to mess with it, thus we sat in the dark. Also got a message from the owner to set the AC to 78 citing the inside temp can only get 10 to 15 degrees cooler from the outside. This is not true from my experience renovating over 1,000 homes. I just figured the owner was cheap with the AC comment and the auto lights. But, that was no big deal, it is a nice place. Just ask the owner if it is ok to run the AC and let you leave this lights on longer.

I wish we would of reserved this beautiful cabin for a longer stay. It was perfect for my family. We enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, fishing, swimming, bonfire, board games and this awesome tree swing. It was quiet and secluded but not too secluded. The owner was amazing and helpful and checked in on us. They provide a lot of things you need. I over packed and brought everything so don’t do that, there are basics there :) I can’t wait to vacation here again!

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful lake house. We fished off the bank. We enjoyed the front porch. We rented a boat twice, the marina is close by. The lake is beautiful and clear. We caught our first small mouths in this lake this vacation. The property manager checked in on us and was very nice. If I could submit the beautiful pictures I would.

Great porch to sit out and look at the lake. Chairs were also provided at the edge of the lake, which was nice. Fire-pit night was a blast roasting Twinkies (forget the 'smores!). We used the propane grill to cook steaks to perfection. We enjoyed our stay!

The house: the kitchen and living area was nice and open with plenty of room. The bedrooms were of a nice size. The porch was definitely our favorite feature. The pictures on the page don't do it justice. The views and the sounds of nature are awesome. The outside: there is a nice patio area with a grill and fire pit with seating. I sat there many times enjoying the mornings prior to the others waking. There's also another sitting area halfway to the shore of the lake. In the heat of the day there is a ton of shade, so you're not cooking and can actually enjoy nature. Now for the main attraction, the lake. The steps stop at the halfway sitting area, so a little caution is required and wear shoes. Water shoes if you have some are recommended. The shore is rocky, but once in the water the floor is not. The swimming area is great. We brought float hammocks and kayaks so this was an amazing asset. I got some great sunrise pictures from the shore. There are also some Sugar Shack Buttonbushes that attract a ton of butterflies. I would definitely rent this house again!

Location was secluded and very beautiful. it was a long walk down to the lake and the walk was very steep. Tge swim area was good for an unimproved shoreline. Good diving and fishing within a short walk. It was a hot July as normal but the breeze on the porch was lovely. Good time with family

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The outdoor cooking area was great and being able to swim and kayak in front of the cabin was wonderful. We kayaked across the cove and jumped off the cliffs! The rope swing was alot of fun also. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay! The house is well stocked and clean. The owner did check in to make sure everything was ok. We utilized the cooking area and fire pit outside almost every night. Although we did not have children with us I would say this place is very kid friendly. We brought our pets with us and they stayed leashed. The pets enjoyed their stay too! There is a convenient walkway halfway down to the lake. The view of the lake is beautiful. We saw deer every morning from the front porch. It is very quiet and peaceful. There is a marina about 20 minutes from the cabin where we rented a boat for the day. The lake is breathtaking. We also went to see the bridal veil waterfall. A must see if you haven’t been there. Everyone is pleasant in the area. The views are extraordinary. I definitely recommend this cabin for anyone wanting a family friendly vacation. I will definitely be back.

The "woodsy" atmosphere and nearness to the lake made for a relaxing stay for my family. We were only a couple of miles from the Dam Site Park where we could put in our boat. All the windows and the back porch area made us feel we were surrounded by nature. The only minor criticism I have is that we could find no washcloths.

Upon arrival, our 3yo immediately fell in love with the "bridge" from the driveway to the entrance of the house. It's just a small elevated section of decking, but he loved crossing the "bridge" every time we went into the house. The kitchen and living room area are open, very nice. Although we did not use them, the barstools at the kitchen counter would be great. Each bedroom has a comfortable bed and overhead fan...a must given the AR summer heat. The bathtub in the guest bathroom was a plus for our family with little kids. Had we been travling without kids, we would definitely have utilized the outdoor cooking and sitting areas more! The trek down to the water was nicely cleared and pretty easy. There are large rocks at water's edge that make sitting very easy. The house is conveniently located less than 10min drive from the marina, making a boat rental pretty easy. My two suggestions for a smoother stay would be to have the property entrance better marked with the address and to have electrical outlet covers installed for those traveling with kids!

The cabin was very nice. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. Outside was even better with the huge deck and then the grill level. We wished some of the trees were gone to have a better view, but it was a great place to stay.
