Hear the ocean from this cozy corner cottage in Carmel. Neatly tucked away, just a short stroll from Carmel Beach and conveniently located to downtown. Its quaint shingle siding and split rail fence invites you in to this lovely home. This three bedroom two and a half bath home offers comfort and a floor plan that flows for your enjoyment. Three gas fireplaces add ambiance located in the living room, dining area and upstairs in the master bedroom. The knotty pine kitchen adds to the charm of the home, featuring a Viking gas stove. The kitchen is open to the spacious comfortable dining area peeking out to the outdoor patio and gardens through French doors. Upstairs you will find a private master bedroom suite featuring a shower and a separate tub and its own fireplace and deck as well as a walk in closet. Both downstairs bedrooms have queen size beds and with French doors opening out to a wooden deck.

Great stay. Check in was seamless as was check out. House was very comfortable and had THREE fireplaces. Jana was very accommodating and handled our every need. And the location couldn’t be better. Could walk to the beach and town. Our stay couldn’t have been better.

Shadows Cottage is a slice of heaven. The sound of the waves, the invigorating sea breezes, and the location at the Carmel Gate of the Scenic 17-Mile Drive are incomparable. Restaurants and stores are a short walk away, and we met interesting people every day. The house is thoughtfully designed with a modern kitchen and privacy between the bedrooms. Jana is a delightful and responsive host. We have recommended this property to friends and family and will be back soon.

Shadows cottage is a lovely property with good access to the beach and a short walk or drive into Carmel. The bedrooms are great, the main bedroom is very spacious and living area is comfortable.
Jana was a great host with good communication.

This cozy cottage home was perfect for up to 6 guests. It’s location is perfect- close to the beach and downtown Carmel. The home had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was prompt in all of her responses. Overall, our stay was very positive and memorable.
