Tucked behind a private garden courtyard, this romantic, dog-friendly studio puts you seven easy blocks from Main Avenue and just one block from a neighborhood trail connecting to nearly 60 miles of Horse Gulch hiking and mountain biking.
Open the French doors and the studio flows into your own fully fenced courtyard with mature landscaping, outdoor dining, a BBQ and sunny lounge chairs. You’ll also find our 100+ year-old carriage shed—affectionately known as The Mule Shed—perfect for storing bikes and outdoor gear.
Inside, we call the style “Zen Cowboy”—a little Durango Western character mixed with inspiration from Japan. Sleep well on a comfortable queen bed with quality linens, or use the American Leather queen sleeper for kids or an extra guest.
The star is the spa-like bath: a deep Japanese soaking tub, walk-in travertine shower with a pebble-stone floor, warm in-floor heat, fluffy towels and robes. Think hot tub without the jets—fresh water every time and spectacular bubble baths. Perfect for one, cozy for two. And yes, our 6’4” Cowboy Mike fits. We have photographic evidence.
The charming kitchenette is equipped for simple meals, and you’ll also have fast Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, dedicated parking and shared laundry.
Walk to coffee, groceries, great food and downtown—or grab your bike from The Mule Shed and head for Horse Gulch.
Come home, close the courtyard gate, and you’ve got your own little Durango oasis.

The studio was fine. My friend had the bed, I had the pull out couch. Super hard to get out but figured it out. Really needed freezer space which wasn't freezing. We had a question about the parking and the host never got back to me. The sink in the bathroom was very uncomfortable to use; too high
