About this house rental

Saint Francis House is a duplex close to Downtown Durango, Fort Lewis College, Horse Gulch Trail System, Durango Natural Foods Co-Op Grocery, restaurants and coffee shops. You will love it because of the location, a comfortable house in the heart of Durango, super nice beds. Good for families! With kids and pets! & couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. It has off street parking, nice kitchen, WiFi, small yard, BBQ, down pillows & lots of love put into this adorable little home

If you want an adorable two bedroom house that is close to everything in downtown Durango then the Saint Francis House is perfect. ~~~Just to note: It is a small house, 800 SF, and it is located on 8th Avenue, which has some city noise. Please keep these things in mind when booking as we want you to be happy!
~~~We have perfected all the details so you will be super comfortable after long days of adventure or relaxation. I have just updated the rugs, tv, beds, linens, living room furniture, coffee bar, art etc. Come and experience the little luxury home in downtown Durango.

This neighborhood is so full of restaurants and little shops, hiking trails and our favorite grocery store Durango Natural Foods. Located at the bottom of College Hill, and only seven blocks to Main Avenue.

You can walk to everything and you don’t really need a car in good weather.

The yard is very small but fenced. You can park in the driveway on the right hand side. The left side is for the guests at the Bucking Mule, that is in the back of the property. Please leave the front yard open for turning around.

I want you to know the house is small duplex. It is about 750 ft.². Also, the house is located on E. 8th Ave., so I want you to know that that is a seven block walk to Main Avenue.
- SAINT FRANCIS HOUSE DIRECTIONS 1. LOCATION: The Saint Francis House is located at 520 East 8th Avenue, Durango CO. 81301. It is the main house in the front of the property. 2. CONTACT: Please call us if you need anything, or have any questions Holly Jason, Owner, Casa at 970-749-9636 or Maria Santiago at 970-749-6868 or Ben Jason at 970-749-2453. Or you can always message us though VRBO/Home Away. 1. HOME AWAY: You will receive an invitation via email for the Home Away App that you can put on your phone. This gives you access to everything from the code to the door, driving directions, to all our local suggestions, hikes, restaurants etc. Of course you can also always call or text us if you have questions. 2. PARKING: There are two parking spaces in the driveway, the Right hand side is for the Saint Francis House, and the Left is for the Bucking Mule Studio. If you need additional parking you may park on 5th Street. 3. THE WI-FI network is named after the property and the password is “guesthouse”. 4. HEAT: The Saint Francis has a gas fire place controlled by a thermostat by the TV. Leave it on “Thermo” so it stays at the temp you set it at. When you leave please leave it at 60 degrees. 5. A/C: In the summer there is a window fan Air Conditioner. 6. DRAINS: Please do not clog the drains or toilet with excess food matter, diapers, feminine products etc. 7. TRASH: Please take out the trash: You can put the trash on the “hell strip” on Tuesday evening, or Wednesday morning, for a Wednesday morning pick up. These are bear proof trashcans but we have never had a bear at this house so you can leave them unlatched. Please make sure they to “unlatch” the cans when you put them out, otherwise the trash man will not pick up. 8. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: There is a fire extinguisher mounted in the kitchen. 9. BBQ: Please be careful lighting the BBQ. Use an “aim-n-flame” which is provided in the kitchen. Turn off the gas when you are done. Please call or text us if the propane is low or out. SAINT FRANCIS HOUSE POLICIES 1. CHECK IN TIME: is after 4 pm, and CHECK OUT TIME is at 10 am. This agreement does not create a Tenancy or Residency. You must depart at the appropriate time. 2. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: is limited to 4 Adults. 3. CLEANING: Please do your dishes before you leave. It is also helpful if you start a load of laundry before you leave. We reserve the right to charge you’re an extra fee for cleaning if the property is left excessively dirty. 4. NO SMOKING is allowed in the house or property. No Candles, Incense, or fire of any kind in the house or property. Please do not bring firearms into the property. 5. IF YOU HAVE PETS, please do not leave them unattended unless you trust them completely. Please do not let them damage anything or get on the furniture. If you need a crate for your dog let us know as we have loaners. Please clean up after your dog. Please make sure your dog does not disturb the neighbors by barking. Please check the fence yourself and make sure your dog is not going to escape. Be sure the gates are closed before you let your dog out. If you need Doggy Day Care we recommend Healthy Hounds and Fat Cats at 970-375-9700. 6. CANCELATION: If you cancel for any reason we will refund anything we can re-rent for a 15% re-booking fee. We will also refund your money if the roads to Durango are closed. 7. SUBSTITUTION: In the event that the property reserved becomes unavailable for any reason Casa Durango, LLC will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate Guest in a comparable property. If no alternative property is available that is suitable for your needs, Casa Durango, LLC will refund all payments and deposits in full and no further obligation expected of either party. 8. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 9. DAMAGE: Casa Durango, LLC reserves the right to charge for any damages to the property. 10. NEIGHBORS: Please respect the neighbors by not making too much noise, and by just being a good friendly neighbor.

I have a very difficult child and unable to stay in a hotel. Needed to be in Colorado for an appointment, so needed a place to stay. This place was very accommodating and the hosts were very understanding. I just wish my son wouldn't have bothered the other people staying on the property.

This little house is in a quiet neighborhood but is within 2 miles of Main Ave where you can find anything you need.The kitchen is well stocked; the beds are comfortable; there is plenty of hot water with good volume.We would definitely stay here again.

Always love staying at this property. It’s clean, efficient, and well located for all our Durango adventures. The little yard was great for our dog and the beds are very comfy. We will definitely be back!

The place is great however it's on a busy, noisy street with a patio bar directly across the street which was very loud a couple nights.
