Fabulous place, with a fantastic location. Mike was pleasure to deal with, responsive and very flexible. Our extended family and pets had a great weekend and we’d love to come back and explore more of the area.

We just got home from our family vacation at Mike's place. Three generations trying to solidify connection through being together...we enjoyed the dock, the exploration of the waterways, schoocumchuck narrows and local lakes... with a few rope swings. Also loved that we could all sit down to dinner (15 of us) on the lovely deck. Mike was attentive and friendly. Thanks for hosting us!

The property is well equipped for a comfortable vacation - its location at the waters edge is exceptional, with lovey views from the terrace. Mike, the owner,is a delight to deal with and arranged a great boat tour of the inlet with some fishing thrown in. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in Egmont

Let me say firstly that Mike our host was as accommodating as he could be. The view was spectacular. The pictures on the listing are likely from when they very first started to rent out in 2013 but now in 2022 things are looking tired and worn. The dining room chairs were shedding their pleather and mostly on our bare skin, and even though Mike stated he had new covers for them, they did not materialize during our stay, nor did the interior fridge light. The beds were very uncomfortable and could use toppers at the very least. All the knives were dull and one even had a huge chunk out of the metal. The cooking pots and pans were very worn and need replacing.
The stairs up to the master bedroom were narrow and uneven heights which made it a little dangerous as was the metal ladder to get up to the loft. Not for folks who get up at night who need to use the bathroom. There is no central air but there is a swamp cooler and a ceiling fan on the main floor and a window shaker upstairs. Fans in the bedrooms would have been nice. For the money, it needs updating as do the photos.
