A nice big space. For some reason we thought it was on the lake but it is not. It does have a view of the lake from the upper deck and is a short walk to the lake. The host was very responsive to our needs and requests. We enjoyed our weekend stay.

We recently stayed at Sandra &Terry's house. As mentioned in prior reviews - the pictures do not do this house justice. There were 13 of us and the upstairs living, dining, kitchen area was incredibly spacious. The house was very clean and was stocked well. Sandra and Terry were very easy to desl with and promptly answered all our questions. Would highly recommend this home. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains/forest is so beautiful. We would definitely stay again.

The home was spacious, lovely and clean. The bedding was soft and cozy. Well stocked kitchen, large patio with plenty of seating. We had a wonderful time and any query we had Sandra replied right away. Great time had by all!

We went as a celebartion to my father in law and it was an oppertunity for his 3 sons and thier families to come together and enjoy each others company, whilst enjoying walks out doors.The best thing was that there was multiple areas that you can breakaway for a moment of quiet amongst the chaos, which is important for family.

Annual girls trip (each year a different location). The house is very roomy and comfortable. We hiked trails in the local area, the Kinsol Trestle bridge is super fun! Very quiet neighborhood.

We celebrated our parents 80th birthdays and the property had enough space for the whole family to be together. Check in was easy and everything was ready for us to enjoy a lovely weekend. We spent time by the fire in the evenings, some enjoyed the hot tub, we took walks to the lake and we had wonderful family dinners. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Communication with the owners was excellent. They replied quickly and dealt with our questions and needs.This was one of the few properties near Victoria that could accommodate our extended family of 14 people.I would use the facility again and recommend it to other large groups.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this property. We were a large group of adults, children, and 2 dogs. The space was large with many bedrooms to accommodate us all. The large living room and kitchen could also fit us all as a group. The place was very clean.The host was very communicative, and they had someone local who helped us with a couple of issues. They brought a high chair over on request for the infants.A few things we wish we had known before arriving:- Beds are very soft overall- Bunk beds are small for adults but are good for children- We found that VRBO’s description of the bedrooms is a little confusing. There are 7 sleeping spaces and 7 beds. The listing says that one room has a king bed/futon, but that’s only one bed that is a pull out couch.- There is a regular coffee machine and a Nespresso machine (with the larger pods). No coffee grinder, so bring your own.- If you rent the whole house, there is a suite downstairs that has a second small living room and kitchen space. Overall there are several fridges, which is amazing for a group!We enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again.

Great quiet location, beds were comfortable and house accommodated our large group of 12 nicely. A couple of the beds were a pull out couch in a kitchen/living area and a futon in a rumpus room so we weren't sure if those were supposed to be included in the 7 bedrooms but we made it work and everyone had a bed to sleep in. Hot Tub was a treat and we enjoyed playing the boardgames available in the home.

The place was very lovely. Nice huge house and there was 13 of us. Big living room and outdoor deck. Very nice view of the lake from the top floor. Ample parking spaces. Only 1 issue happened during our stay, but the owner resolved it quite quickly and had the caretaker come by. We loved that the lake and dock were so close and very easily walkable. The propane fire pit and hot tub was great for hangouts. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Sandra was great and very responsive to all my inquiries and messages. Would recommend staying here!!

Rented this beautiful home for three days to celebrate a 50th birthday for my husband! The space was awesome, we loved the open concept upstairs and the hot tub! It’s pretty rare that a place looks BETTER than the pictures. But this place does. The beds were so comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms and places to relax. The scenery around the property was breath taking. Any communication with Sandra was lovely. We came all the way from the mid west in the states and we would definitely come again. We loved the location of Sandra's property and being able to access the dock. We enjoyed going for little walks with our toddlers, and accessing a local playground. The property has a large deck, hot tub, and multiple propane fire pits which were all thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was lovely and the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect! I would love to stay here again.

This property was perfect for our get-away with four siblings, spouses and adult children. There was lots of space for everyone to either hang together for meals and games or spend some quiet time alone. We made use of the dock with our speed boat and stand up paddle boards and the "kids" loved the hot tub and foosball table. We had an amazing dinner at the Lakehouse and then spent lots of time in the large kitchen preparing the remaining meals. Would definitely recommend!

Staying in Sandra’s home in Shawnigan Lake was so awesome! It was gorgeous, private, quaint little town. Kids loved the paddle boards and kayaks and the view was spectacular. Sandra was so responsive and available to answer our questions. The only complaint was that it was too short. Next time, we must stay longer. Thanks for making this a great experience.

We had a family reunion/vacation. The house provided lots of space and was quite comfortable. We enjoyed being close to the lake for swimming and having access to the kayaks and paddle boards. It would have been nice to ha e a ladder off the dock especially for the kids to get out of the water.

This gorgeous waterfront, fully equipped, and spacious house in Shawnigan Lake was perfect for my family of 12 as we came together for my brother's wedding. The balcony and outdoor seating areas were spectacular. We walked on nearby trails and woke up to birds and deer about the property. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was an outdoor grill too that we put to good use. The communication with the hosts was easy and prompt. Centrally located between Victoria and Duncan, this house allows you to explore Vancouver Island from a strategic location. We highly recommend this lakefront beauty!

Very well appointed house with all the toys. There are 7 distinct bedrooms but realistically 5 bedroom for an an adult group. owners very responsive to questions and concerns. Used the house as home base for daily cycling expeditions in the area. Ate in house 2 nights and out 2 nights at Lakehouse at Shawnigan and Unsworth Winery. Both very enjoyable. At home, BBQ and kitchen had all the conveniences.

Exactly what we needed. House is exactly as described. Big, beautiful, clean and just minutes away from the private dock. Friends and family definitely had a relaxing trip. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was large enough to comfortably fit our entire group. The host and property manager were very responsive if there were any issues. I would say they exceeded all my expectations with the service making sure we were ok and stocked with supplies. Definitely will stay again in the future. Thanks!
