Welcome to Dakota Ridge! We are located near lower Gibsons atop Gower point, just a 10-min drive from the Langdale Ferry and a 5-min drive from the main strip of Gibsons - which allows you to have the perfect balance of marineside life and nature. Beaches are in walking distance.
Our property is surrounded by forests, beaches and serene walking trails so you can experience everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer. We ve created the perfect getaway for Vancouverites who want to unplug.

This suite is in the garden level of one of BC s most accomplished award-winning luxury home builders - Rae Gaylie. Rae has transformed this property into the perfect getaway sanctuary for those looking to get out of the city and recharge their batteries.
Inside you ll find a very spacious yet intimate abode (850 sq ft). Works well for small work retreats, couples who want a cozy romantic getaway or besties who want a place to relax, decompress and have a good time. Please no wild parties but feel free to be yourself and enjoy the abundance of energy you ll have after you cleanse your soul in our immaculate two-seat luxury steam spa & shower. The steam room is a preventive health space, aiding to detoxifying the respiratory passages, blood flow and warm you to your core.
Feeling stress or anxiety? The cave-like bedroom allows for perfect silence at night so you can rest without disturbance. Plenty of space for clothing and outerwear should you be on a longer stay. There’s also a comfy sofa bed that sleeps an extra 2.
If you are looking for something very chill during the evenings then enjoy Netflix on our 40” wall-mounted TV. Or perhaps a bevy and game of billards on our beautiful full-sized pool table. We ve also got plenty of space to knock out a few emails or work on your manuscript should you be so inclined. And of course we have excellent wi-fi so you can update your Instagram stories too.
When you stay at Dakota Ridge you get so much more than just lodging. We invite you to explore the grounds and smell the lavender in the garden. You can often see deer on "Gratitude Walk" a pathway located on our property which leads you to the waterside for tranquil walks by the sea. Don t forget to make time for a cozy fire under the moon and stars (weather permitting). This is all available to you on our property which truly lets you experience what nature has to offer.
We have taken guests out for boat tours before. It may be possible to arrange before hand but is always weather dependant.
Steam users need to be in good shape with a strong heart & lungs
Please be mindful of late night pool playing and of course, the felt and lights :)

Great location and our granddaughter loved coming over to play pool. Discovered a bit about myself - while I love nesting and being cozy at home I need more light. Having said that we did sleep in without guilt as it was quiet and cozy.

The name and location for this place is entirely justified based on my family’s experience. Awesome place to stay and pool table was a wonderful addition. My son loved this additionWe highly recommend this place.

Loved the morning visits by the deer and fawn

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the place was quiet and dark allowing us to sleep in. The bathroom was very nice with a great steam shower. There was a patio with a barbecue.
On the negative side, the directions were poor and Google Maps did not get us there. Fortunately the host called when we didn’t arrive when expected and directed us in. Our initial impression of the property was not good as the grass was not cut and the property looked unkempt. The sheets were not fresh smelling when we arrived. There was only a very heavy duvet on the bed with no top sheet. We did find other sheets and a lighter blanket thrown (not folded) in the closet and these required laundering. Fortunately there was a clean insuite laundry. There were also no sheets to fit the pullout although the ad said the property sleeps 4. We found a dirty frying pan in the drawer and the knives were very dull.
Overall, we would rate it a 6/10.
