We had a nice stay at the Hobbit House. Nancy was a wonderful host- very easy to communicate with, and so welcoming of myself, my three friends, and my dog. The place is a functional spot- works just fine as a base camp and had everything we needed/expected. The home itself was a bit damp/humid- totally fine, but just something we noticed. Great value, and the hot breakfast included was such a lovely touch! Thanks for a lovely stay on Gabriola!

We had such a lovely stay here. It was very tranquil peaceful and the hosts were just spectacular. All the little details that these guys add make such a big difference and let me tell you that breakfast that they make, is absolutely delicious. We took our infant, who is only nine months old and our puppy, and they made a little puppy plate and a little plate for our boy. We had such a lovely day and created some fantastic memories and hope to be back. We cannot thank these hosts enough.

Hosts were incredible, property was adorable and so serene with the wind rustling through the treetopsBreakfasts were delicious. We loved our stay at the Hobbit Cottage on Canopy Ridge and our visit to Gabriola Island. Our hosts, Nancy and Gregory greeted us each morning with the most amazing breakfasts and provided many great options for beach and hiking in the area. The cottage is well equipped with cooking appliances and an adjacent patio and bbq area also added to dining in options. Thank you both for your hospitality!

We used The Hobbit as our base for a three night trip for Gabriola. Clean, comfortable and well hosted by an available but privacy-respecting couple (Nancy and Gregory), we really enjoyed out stay. Breakfasts were a nice touch and were well tailored to our considerable dietary needs. Would absolutely stay again.

Greg and Nancy offer a very beautiful and peaceful Hobbit House to enjoy! 5 They are friendly and full of great information about the island when you feel like chatting and are equally respectful of your privacy when you choose it. The house provided everything we needed. I really appreciated that they allowed us to bring our cat. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts are just amazing! Thank you Greg, Nancy, Surfer and Tiki

The Hobbit was very cozy and relaxing, surrounded by lush forest. Unlike other cabins that we've stayed in, the Hobbit is well insulated and warm. The kitchenette is very basic and not meant for a lot of cooking but it's perfect for heating up some food or drinks which was fine for us as we wanted to eat out/support the local economy anyway. Nancy and Greg clearly added a lot of thought and care to the cabin from the cute gnome dish sponge to the relaxing rocking chairs. The mainly veggie breakfasts were varied, healthy and delicious - and always with some fruit - so appreciated! Nancy and Greg were very welcoming and warm. Their pup Surfer is absolutely adorable. <3 Thank you for the lovely stay in the Hobbit!

Our hosts, Nancy and Gregory, are really lovely people. They were wonderfully welcoming, helpful, and generous. The "Hobbit" cabin is great, and has the unique Gulf Island charm. It's clean, comfortable, and nicely put together with lots of thoughtful personal touches from Nancy and Gregory. We plan to stay again, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a calm retreat while exploring Gabriola Island.
