We had a nice stay at the Hobbit House. Nancy was a wonderful host- very easy to communicate with, and so welcoming of myself, my three friends, and my dog. The place is a functional spot- works just fine as a base camp and had everything we needed/expected. The home itself was a bit damp/humid- totally fine, but just something we noticed. Great value, and the hot breakfast included was such a lovely touch! Thanks for a lovely stay on Gabriola!

Nancy was a wonderful host—friendly and welcoming—and her breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The accommodation is quiet, conveniently located, and perfectly suited for two people. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit. We want to be honest so future guests can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, the space appeared not to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. There were cobwebs in several areas, the floors and carpet seemed like they hadn’t been vacuumed in some time, and surfaces such as the kitchen counters and inside the fridge were dirty.Because of these cleanliness issues, I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this place to family or friends.
